Thanksgiving for the LORD's Favor

Psalms 138 (A Psalm of David)
1/ I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
2/ I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
3/ In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
4/ All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
5/ Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.
6/ Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.
7/ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.
8/ The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands... AMEN!!!

One CANNOT earn GRACE, it is HIS own ESSENCE; a gift, still, IF one claims to be IN HIS GRACE, we ARE to, or, OUGHT to, be reflections of that GRACE! 2 CORINTHIANS 6:1, tells us not to take HIS GRACE in vain! This means, living in LOVE, morality, ethics, virtue, righteousness, and, spiritual improvement, TOWARDS, spiritual maturity, WHILE, visibly BEING as LIGHTS, beaming OF *GOD*, beckoning the world, TO THE LIGHT! Righteousness MEANS, conduct in conformity with *GOD'S* WILL, and, "Be HOLY because I AM HOLY!", therefore, indicating that knowledge, wisdom, and, effort, DO, apply TO the righteous!!! NEVER forget, we were grafted in, and, if we do not bear fruit, as a dead branch, we will be pruned out, just as were, the natural branches!!!

We are not saved by works, instead, works PROVE HIM in us: they identify HIS own...

IF I claim ONENESS with *GOD*, through CHRIST JESUS, I am DEAD TO THE WORLD, THUS, LIVING as HIM, which is, hopefully, witnessed IN, and, THROUGH, my every thought, action, and, reaction; MEANING, I am, THROUGH CONSCIOUS application OF THE WORD, HIS COMMANDS, HIS WILL, REFLECTING righteousness, not, merely, FAITH! I become, the TRULY FRUITFUL branch, of THE VINE, the TRUE member of THE BODY/THE CHURCH, CHRIST JESUS, and, TESTIFY, then, GLORIFY, BOLDLY, BY my thoughts, actions, and, reactions, HIS name, because, HE IS WORTHY, and, IN HIS LOVE, has SHOWN me, how I OUGHT to exist, to which, I eagerly, adapt, and, comply!!!

MATTHEW 5:48...
So be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect

1 PETER 1:14-16...
14/ Like obedient children, do not act in compliance with the desires of your former ignorance
15/ but, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in every aspect of your conduct,
16/ for it is written, "Be holy because I (am) holy."

ROMANS 12:2...
Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect.

Conduct, in conformity to *GOD'S* WILL, marks the righteous; it is NOT because of guilt, or, ancient Laws, but, because of LOVE; LOVE for *GOD*, self, then, others! CHRIST JESUS gave us Commandments to live by, of which, the first is to LOVE *GOD*, with all of your mind, heart, and, soul; the second is, to LOVE one another!

LOVE COMPELS us to LIVE IN HIM, through conduct which conforms to *GOD*; in other words, morality, ethics, doing good, and, being good, and, ever striving to improve the spirit! It is about REFLECTING THE TRUTH, for ALL to bear witness to, FOR, and, TO HIS GLORY, RADIANTLY SHINING OF HIS POWER, GRACE, and, MERCIES!!!

It IS ALL ABOUT LOVE, baby, all about LOVE!!!

MATTHEW 4: 17...From that time on, Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

JOHN 14:15..."If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

NOTE: I do not intend to preach, rather to reach; to stir up, awaken, to inspire, and, bring forth, in discussion, that which is, perhaps, dormantly existing in the heart of hearts, thus, little, or, no, sugar coatings, just THE WORD of *GOD*, the TRUTH, along with some of my thoughts. And truth is, I am reminding myself always, as I practice these reminders, in the best of my abilities, and capacities, while RELYING on THE LORD to lead me on that narrow PATH---> MATTHEW 7: 14: "For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it... TO *GOD* BE ALL GLORY...

GOD IS GOOD, SO GOOD IS HE!!!

THE LORD *GOD* HAS BEEN SO GOOD TO ME, and while it might not be apparent to others, in that I am not well-off, live a life of luxury, and so forth, it IS apparent to me, and to my heart!

I was working very hard, thinking as always; this time concerning character, and living life in the righteousness of the being...

PSALM 119: 1-8...
1/ Happy those whose way is blameless, who walk by the teaching of the LORD.
2/ Happy those who observe God's decrees, who seek the LORD with all their heart.

GOSSIP =

The world is changing around us, almost daily; contrary to many of our beliefs, our knowledge, our understanding, and our LORD! Such change is necessary for the fullness of HIS WILL be manifest, yet, in these changes, in these times, those who remain with HIM, must prepare in knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and discernment, remain unshaken, and develop strength as never before...

LUKE 11: 5-13...
5/ And he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend to whom he goes at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread,
6/ for a friend of mine has arrived at my house from a journey and I have nothing to offer him,'

There IS PEACE in THE LORD, though, we HAVE to REMAIN IN HIM, that we share in this PEACE! This PEACE is one with ALL HE IS, LOVE, HOPE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, GOODNESS, and all else which is just, and right!!!

Monday's come, then, they go,
Why they bother us, I just don't know;

I strive to be the best me possible, not only out of LOVE for THE LORD *GOD*, but, for the good of others, and for the advancement of my being! I would NEVER want to remain less than I can be, because I am not programmed that way! It would be boring, even stifling to remain in set boundaries, which is WHY we are encouraged to ARISE, and ELEVATE from this world, which DOES set boundaries on our spirits, on our souls!!!

MATTHEW 9: 35-38...
35/ Jesus went around to all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and curing every disease and illness.

What dominates the center of your life? For some people, that center is found in Family, for some in having good times, for others it is pursuing fame, fortune, wealth, or successes, and on it goes...

JOHN 1: 1-14...
1/ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2/ He was in the beginning with God.
3/ All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be

ISAIAH 35: 8-10...
8/ A highway will be there, called the holy way; No one unclean may pass over it, nor fools go astray on it.

I lost a distanced Friend months back; she was in her 40's; her death stemming from alcohol, and substance abuse! She was living with a Friend, and at Dinner, said that she couldn't breathe, and perished. Her Parents put her in recovery several times, but, she refused to grow past her addictions! She lost everything she owned, her Husband, and did not finish raising her only Child; her whole life was centered on her own wants...

7 WAYS TO STOP GOSSIP by Pastor Ron Edmondson

In my job, I hear far more junk than I care to hear. The larger our church gets, the more mess we encounter among the people to whom we minister. We have designed our church to reach hurting people, so we are simply reaching our target audience, but some days it is more difficult than others to hear such sad stories.

Much of our journey in this time to our destination, is like navigating this treacherous bridge, which has purpose, but dangers with every step! HOWEVER, for the FAITHFUL, the perils of this bridge are lessened, because we are protected BY THE LORD *GOD* ALMIGHTY!!!

I DO believe that *GOD* heard our PRAYERS, and GAVE us THE most awesome Summer season we have seen in a decade! THANK YOU LORD!!! Besides a heat wave, and a few weeks of rain, which we needed, it has just been the perfect Summer! I am taking it to heart, because it IS OF *GOD*!!!

ISAIAH 29: 13-24...
13/ The Lord said: Since this people draws near with words only and honors me with their lips alone, though their hearts are far from me, And their reverence for me has become routine observance of the precepts of men,

Influence---a powerful force; right, or wrong, good, or bad, POSITIVE, or negative! It matters, and can change our direction in a second flat, for better, or for worse...

ECCLESIASTES 3: 12- 15...
12/ I recognized that there is nothing better than to be glad and to do well during life.
13/ For every man, moreover, to eat and drink and enjoy the fruit of all his labor is a gift of God.

Well, whaddya know? IT IS FRIDAY; thanks BE TO THE LORD! YAYYYYYYYYY!!!

DANIEL 10: 19...
"Fear not, beloved, you are safe; take courage and be strong."

Throughout this life, we are faced with many tragedies; personal, and impersonal! In these times, many people ask, "Where is/was *GOD*?"...

OH, let us PRAY for those who are forced to live in the elements, especially those that are stuck in extreme conditions, like here, where the heat index could reach 109, and those in the bitter, bitter cold: there are Mothers with their Children, Grandparents, and more facing the elements, day after day! *GOD* be with them; it really bothers me...

THE BIBLE, THE WORD of *GOD*, is a beautifully mastered BOOK of LOVE, premised entirely upon THE LORD, and HIS LOVING WILL to bring HIS own home again! It is filled with a vast array of examples; people who were rebellious, arrogant, proud, and worse; people who surrendered to *GOD*, and lived according to HIS WILL; but mostly, it is filled with examples of HIS HOLINESS, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, HIS PLAN for HIS people, and those examples that LEAD HIS own through time in the world, to their rightful inheritance, as they are INSPIRED to action BY HIM, and HIS WAY!!!

MATTHEW 18: 1-5...
1/ At that time the disciples approached Jesus and said, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?"
2/ He called a child over, placed it in their midst,

PSALM 119: 9-16...

9/ How can the young keep his way without fault? Only by observing your words.

10/ With all my heart I seek you; do not let me stray from your commandments.

There IS NOT a person in this life who does not have problems, troubles, trials, and tribulations; it is part of our journey in this realm! Yet, many of us look enviously upon the lives of others, which is wrong for many reasons, one of which is, it makes our lives worse, because we are then, caught up in negatives that further remove us from overcoming...

I just read an article by a Pastor whom relayed the steps to a JOY filled life, and one of the steps was to bear fruit worthy of THE SPIRIT, to which a few people replied that he was wrong! There is SO much dissension over clear instructions, and part of the problem is because people are being taught part of the whole, and then, because they do not study deep enough to understand the whole!!!

It is from *GOD* that I acquire the knowledge, the wisdom, and the understanding to KNOW how far to go, or when to draw the line, 'cuz I CAN'T be trusted to do so...

EPHESIANS 4: 25-32...
25/ Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
26/ Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun set on your anger,
27/ and do not leave room for the devil.

The biggest trap for humanity is the self, because the self cries, waaaaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaaaa, for MANY reasons, things, and desires, INSTEAD of ACCEPTING that *GOD* REIGNS SUPREME, YES, OVER the self, and ALL in CREATION...

*GOD* has given us a new week, a new day; let us be thankful, grateful, PRAISEFUL, and may we HONOUR HIM in these hours...

*GOD'S* PERFECT PLAN, and WILL, works for the GOOD of ALL in CREATION, and in order for this to manifest, fellowship, and unity are imperative! Besides humanity, and the fallen Angels, all else in CREATION exists in oneness, and acts according TO HIM!!!

MAKING TIME FOR THE LORD...

Happy Sunday, dear people of this life! May this day be one of sharing with THE LORD the JOY of HIS LOVE, and THANKS for HIS PRESENCE in this life! ALL days are made for sharing with HIM, though, it is traditional, and customary to set aside one day a week to PRAISE, WORSHIP, and REJOICE in HIM, from the heart outwardly, and to CONSIDER HIS WILL, HIS WAY, HIS PLAN, and the GLORY of it all, while we inch closer to HIM in understanding, knowledge, LOVE, and PRAYER! One day a week set aside to REFLECT on HIM, HIS WORD, and HIS guidance in our lives...

EPHESIANS 4: 17...
So I declare and testify in the Lord that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds;

FABULOUS FRIDAY!!!

It IS FRIDAY, and thanks BE to *GOD*, a most spectacular one, indeed! It is, simply, a picture perfect day outside, and I am going to kick back, soak up some shine, and enjoy!!!

Eat, daily, the food of TRUTH, and often in the day, eat to your heart's content; let it fill you FULLY!!!

1 CORINTHIANS 2: 3-16...
3/ I came to you in weakness and fear and much trembling,
4/ and my message and my proclamation were not with persuasive (words of) wisdom, but with a demonstration of spirit and power,
5/ so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.

We have had LOTS of storms sweep through here in recent days, with flooding, and mugginess galore! Today more of the same, then, we get a break of sorts! There is a good side to this; the way the pattern has been, has prevented severe weather, such as tornadoes, and twisters, but, since most of the country is heating up, they are in the wings. I am thanking *GOD* that for about a month now, the weather pattern has staved off damage to people, crops, livestock, homes, and other such, although, some states are experiencing the worst drought EVER, so, let us PRAY!!!

HOW do we strive for, achieve, and maintain HOLINESS in a world far from HOLY???

Throughout time, THE LORD *GOD* has Called us to be HOLY! There are around 200 BIBLE verses concerning this matter, and it ISN'T easy to come by, so those who negate it's importance, ought to take some time to study, and reconsider...

It is reported that throughout the world, people don't feel a need for *GOD*, and those numbers are rising!

ROMANS 8: 18-25...
18/ I consider that the sufferings of this present time are as nothing compared with the glory to be revealed for us.
19/ For creation awaits with eager expectation the revelation of the children of God;
20/ for creation was made subject to futility, not of its own accord but because of the one who subjected it, in hope

Things happen in this life; we falter in our FAITH, forsaking our ONENESS WITH THE LORD, we lose ground, becoming enmeshed by what is happening, we wallow in it, then, are immersed in it, and just before our heads are covered, we cry out to HIM!!!

It is, by *GOD'S* LOVE, a new week, and Monday. A Monday that carries LOTS in it's hours! The long weekend saw MANY incidents, problems, and violence: plane crashes, a runaway train that has done some extreme damage, shootings, fires, collapsed buildings, and on it goes. Many of the events over this past weekend are thought provoking, and heart wrenching. Let us PRAY, PRAY, PRAY...

Milk, Meat and the Malnourished Church...

One of the greatest critiques of the American Church today is it’s malnourished. Some would even say it’s our most pressing problem. When most people voice this complaint, the focus is on the worship experience. From people who leave these churches, you hear, “I wasn’t getting fed.” Or, “I just want some deeper teaching.”

Obedience

To obey or not to obey the Lord God—this has been and is the crucial question for every human being. Obedience as opposed to disobedience is a life-and-death issue. God has given humankind the innate power of choice: the choice of obedience leads to God's promised blessing of life; the choice of disobedience leads to curse, judgment, and death.

When you GIVE HOPE, you find HOPE, and, any time you find HOPE, be sure to GIVE it to someone else!!!

For it is love that I desire, not sacrifice, and knowledge of God rather than holocausts.

The world over, needs prayers, day in, day out! LET US PRAY WITHOUT CEASING! Let LOVE be the voice we lift UP to *GOD*! May HE BLESS us, and, may we allow HIM to show us THE WAY!!! PRAISE HIS MIGHTY name, and, GLORIFY HIM in thought, action, and, reaction!!!

HOLINESS: in the highest sense belongs to God (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 15:4), and to Christians as consecrated to God's service, and in so far as they are conformed in all things to the will of God (Romans 6:19; Romans 6:22; Ephesians 1:4; Titus 1:8; 1 Peter 1:15). Personal holiness is a work of gradual development. It is carried on under many hindrances, hence the frequent admonitions to watchfulness, prayer, and perseverance (1 Corinthians 1:30; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Ephesians 4:23; Ephesians 4:24).
