MONDAY: THE MIGHT OF MENTALITY: NO COMPARISON...

BRRRRRR; first Monday of February is bitter cold; sun is shining on the frozen snow, and we are one day closer to the end of Winter, PRAISE THE LORD:)))---

Winter HAS it's POSITIVES, no doubt, and they probably, logically, outweigh the negatives, but I tell you, it IS a tough season to get through! Like most negative matters, there IS ALWAYS something POSITIVE within; this I know, this I stand by! We are simply, hard to please, and ever long for perfection! Part of maturing IS to learn to ACCEPT the less than perfect, as we work it for the purpose of betterment!!!

Time on Earth IS a process of learning, and improving on what we have to work with! The same is true with our walk with *GOD*, regardless of how many claim there isn't any need to do so! IF we are growing, and developing, improvement IS part and parcel to doing so! HOW could it not be? HOW could we advance, mature, or succeed without improvements, in whatever context???

Each GIVEN day, we HAVE an opportunity TO make this realm a better place, and yah, it DOES begin with one, then spirals forward! The same opportunity exists for making it worse place, and we are, surely, seeing the effects of that fact, yet, IF we ARE OF *GOD*, we strive to REVEAL HIM, if only in the slightest ways, THAT the darkening world is ALWAYS able to see THE LIGHT! Imagine if every single human refused to share THE LIGHT! The darkness would be suffocating, and quick to overtake all...

Amazing how difficult it is for humanity to 'get' the need for THE LORD! It IS par for the course, HOWEVER, THE LORD HAS CHOSEN HIS people TO SHINE OF HIM, THAT HE IS EVER APPARENT TO ALL, that the choices made in free will, clearly depict the truth of the heart...

Christian people should stop comparing themselves, and *GOD* with the world, for there is NO comparison whatsoever! In freeing ourselves from doing so, we are then more enabled to REFLECT what is OF HIM, what is RIGHT, JUST, and GOOD, AND point TO THE WAY, VIA our own steps! Battling evil is also, more simple than we think, as it is most effectively done BY existing in HIM, LOVE, TRUTH, and SPIRIT! Words, aggression, and other worldly means show the world NOTHING, but what is *GODLY* brings out into the open HIS GLORY, HIS LOVE, HIS WILL, HIS WAYS, and HIS WORD!!!

We ARE SERVANTS OF THE MOST HIGH, and SOVEREIGN LORD *GOD*; we are NOT servants to the wicked evil of this world! Our servitude involves a great number of behaviours, mentalities, actions, and reactions, NONE of which should be aligned to the adversary, nor adversity! Of course we have times when our discipline is less than perfect, but we also, learn from these, and move on, with better understanding for the next moment! We WON'T be exempt from the ways of the world, YET, HOW we speak, act, and react IS within our control, and IF we ARE OF THE LORD, we KNOW this indicates we do so according to HIS WILL...

SERVING is like, an ugly word in the minds of most, as the enemy has infiltrated enough to embed into our rearing, that we are above all that, but know what?, it IS AN HONOUR TO SERVE *GOD*, then others! CHRIST JESUS EXEMPLIFIED THIS TRUTH IN HIS time on this Earth, and bid us to FOLLOW HIM!!!

The more we exist in *GOD*, LOVE, and TRUTH, the more HOPE there IS for others, and the more comfort we have as we navigate this treacherous, but beautiful valley! When we look back, or to the right, or to the left, we are stepping away from what IS before us, our LORD *GOD*, THE WAY, and our overall safety, and provision!!!

DEVOTION as well, has been taken by the world and made into something undesirable, but again, we are NOT OF this world, THEREFORE, WHY do we bite into ANYTHING it offers, or dismisses? Devotion IS paramount to our relationship WITH THE LORD *GOD*, and still, we only do it in a fraction, then we wonder why we aren't reaping in the BLESSINGS...

Here is an age old directive FOR the people who proclaim THE LORD as their *GOD* and SAVIOUR; something we SHOULD consider day to day, that it IS well with us!
JOSHUA 24: 15...
"If it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

It is essential that the service of God's people be performed with a willing mind. For LOVE is the only genuine principle whence all acceptable service of God can spring. The Father seeks only such to worship him, as worship him in spirit and in truth.  

The carnal mind of man is enmity against God, therefore, is not capable of such spiritual worship. Hence the necessity of being born again. But numbers rest in mere forms, as tasks imposed upon them. Joshua puts them to their choice; but not as if it were indifferent whether they served God or not. Choose you whom ye will serve, now the matter is laid plainly before you. He resolves to do this, whatever others did. 

Those that are bound for heaven, must be willing to swim against the stream. They must not do as the most do, but as the best do. And no one can behave himself as he ought in any station, who does not deeply consider his religious duties in family relations. The Israelites agree with Joshua, being influenced by the example of a man who had been so great a blessing to them; We also will serve the Lord. See how much good great men do, by their influence, if zealous in religion. Joshua brings them to express full purpose of heart to cleave to the Lord. 

They must come off from all confidence in their own sufficiency, else their purposes would be in vain. The service of God being made their deliberate choice, Joshua binds them to it by a solemn covenant. He set up a monument of it. In this affecting manner Joshua took his last leave of them; if they perished, their blood would be upon their own heads.  

Though the house of God, the Lord's table, and even the walls and trees before which we have uttered our solemn purposes of serving him, would bear witness against us if we deny him, yet we may trust in him, that he will put his fear into our hearts, that we shall not depart from him. God alone can give grace, yet he blesses our endeavours to engage men to his service.

AMEN! Well, I wish you knowledge, understanding, and the desire TO SERVE THE LORD *GOD* ALMIGHTY! I wish you LOVE, PEACE, AND the self-control to REMAIN IN HIM, that HE REMAINS IN YOU! I wish you a fantabulous week; may it be full of JOY, PRAISE, WORSHIP, and REJOICING IN THE LORD! May we EVER HONOUR HIM, as we SHINE OF HIM, and may we NEVER contribute to the increasing darkness by stepping off THE PATH, and onto the many dangerous by-ways of this world! LOVE FOR REAL, STAND STRONG, PRAY, PRAY, PRAY, and BE A BLESSING, FOR HIS GLORY, and for the good of others! OXOXOXO
