SUNDAY'S SACRED SCRIPTURES: THE VOICE IN THE STORM...

Every day on this Earth brings some kind of storm for it's inhabitants; some are personal, some are of nature, some are brought on by evil, and wickedness, some the result of the overall distance from our CREATOR, and so forth---

Whatever the cause of the storm(s), we should remember that THE LORD *GOD* ALMIGHTY IS the voice in the storm(s), and IS the voice of sound principle, reason, and direction through, and out of them...

IF we existed aright, all would be calm, and well! IF we feared THE LORD, LOVED HIM, and heeded HIM, HIS pleasure would overflow upon us! IF we would HONOUR HIM in TRUE PRAISE, and HONEST WORSHIP, we would be found compliant to HIS WILL! HE takes NO pleasure in our suffering, yet, so much have we brought on upon ourselves, as we ignore the storehouses of HIS PROMISES for those who SERVE HIM in TRUTH, and SPIRIT!!!

We must understand that we must be humble, or we will be humbled! Where pride exists, where independence of HIM is, where resistance OF HIM, and HIS WILL is allowed to foster, then it takes a LOT to cause one to SEE HIM, but more so to REGARD HIM AS HE IS, and EVERMORE SHALL BE; THE MOST HIGH LORD *GOD*!!!

There is NOTHING without THE LORD, and NOTHING shall get better void of HIM, or HIS LOVE, or HIS WILL! ALL which is of HIM IS GOOD; it IS GREAT; and IS FOR our benefit! We don't need to understand HIS WAYS, though we DO understand HIM enough to realize WHY we should align to HIM, and adhere to HIS WILL, and we CAN see that there IS eternal favour in doing so!!!

Yah, we IMAGINE that we alone, know what is best for us, but I testify, and proclaim, NO ONE KNOWS us like HE DOES, nor shall DELIVER us into GLORY such as we cannot fathom!!!

Though we stumble, trip, and fall, and experience storms of every kind, let us PRAY UNTO HIM, REMAIN IN HIM, and REJOICE FOR HIS LOVING care for us, and HIS MIGHT to bring us unto HIMSELF!!!

PSALM 29...
1+++Ascribe to the LORD, O sons of the mighty,
Ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
2+++Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to His name;
Worship the LORD in holy array.
3+++The voice of the LORD is upon the waters;
The God of glory thunders,
The LORD is over many waters.
4+++The voice of the LORD is powerful,
The voice of the LORD is majestic.
5+++The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars;
Yes, the LORD breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
6+++He makes Lebanon skip like a calf,
And Sirion like a young wild ox.
7+++The voice of the LORD hews out flames of fire.
8+++The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness;
The LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh.
9+++The voice of the LORD makes the deer to calve
And strips the forests bare;
And in His temple everything says, “Glory!”
10+++The LORD sat as King at the flood;
Yes, the LORD sits as King forever.
11+++The LORD will give strength to His people;
The LORD will bless His people with peace.

Exhortation to give glory to God. - The mighty and honourable of the earth are especially bound to honour and worship him; but, alas, few attempt to worship him in the beauty of holiness. When we come before him as the Redeemer of sinners, in repentance faith, and love, he will accept our defective services, pardon the sin that cleaves to them, and approve of that measure of holiness which the Holy Spirit enables us to exercise.

We have here the nature of religious worship; it is giving to the Lord the glory due to his name. We must be holy in all our religious services, devoted to God, and to his will and glory. There is a beauty in holiness, and that puts beauty upon all acts of worship.

The psalmist here sets forth God's dominion in the kingdom of nature. In the thunder, and lightning, and storm, we may see and hear his glory. Let our hearts be thereby filled with great, and high, and honourable thoughts of God, in the holy adoring of whom, the power of godliness so much consists.

O Lord our God, thou art very great! The power of the lightning equals the terror of the thunder. The fear caused by these effects of the Divine power, should remind us of the mighty power of God, of man's weakness, and of the defenseless and desperate condition of the wicked in the day of judgment. But the effects of the Divine word upon the souls of men, under the power of the Holy Spirit, are far greater than those of thunder storms in the nature world.

Thereby the stoutest are made to tremble, the proudest are cast down, the secrets of the heart are brought to light, sinners are converted, the savage, sensual, and unclean, become harmless, gentle, and pure. If we have heard God's voice, and have fled for refuge to the hope set before us, let us remember that children need not fear their Father's voice, when he speaks in anger to his enemies. While those tremble who are without shelter, let those who abide in his appointed refuge bless him for their security, looking forward to the day of judgment without dismay, safe as Noah in the ark.
