Our time on Earth SHOULD be viewed as ACTIVITY, as in choosing the right, or the wrong, the good, or the bad; EACH 'way' has consequences. The wise through their good actions WILL find rootedness, and life; the wicked, WILL find rootlessness, and death...
Throughout our time here, we have choices to make concerning every aspect of our existence! We TRY to maintain at least 2 or more 'ways', such as we are different in our professional roles than we are in our personal, but that isn't really possible, just like it isn't possible to separate ourselves from *GOD*, and exist righteously! And THIS IS one of those decisions we OUGHT to put first, and foremost, but unfortunately, is NOT, OR, it is put off, OR, ignored, BECAUSE people WANT to live IN the world, then IN *GOD*, DESPITE it being in contrast TO TRUTH! We ARE in this world, but IF we are OF *GOD*, we are NOT OF the world, which confuses the majority, but in actuality, makes GREAT sense! We were CREATED FOR HIM, AND HIS WILL, and IN HIS IMAGE, which is NOT the physical being we so adore, instead, the SPIRITUAL being we barely know, accept, or tap into...
Too, there IS a misconception that everything lies ON *GOD*, and we have NO part, except for FAITH; this wrongly trains minds, and hearts, AS our part IS ACTIVE, and IS CONSCIENTIOUS, and IS PREMISED UPON HIM, HIS WILL, and HIS WORD! FAITH IS ACTIVE IN FAITHFULNESS, which IS a PROCESS OF becoming MORE, and MORE OF HIM, and LIKE HIM, and HIS HOLINESS, in which THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE POWER by which we exist! MANY are those whom believe that we can exist as worldly, when in fact, we are NOT!!!
SEPARATION IS PART and PARCEL TO walking THE WAY OF THE LORD! We CANNOT remove ourselves exactly from the world, but we CAN in heart, mind, and spirit BY adapting TO HIS WILL, and WAYS! We are a peculiar people, CONSECRATED FOR HIS USE, and WILL, and HIS PRAISE, and WORSHIP, which OUGHT to be constant, in which case, we have little time to rub elbows with those who are NOT of HIM, nor be caught up in the deadly traps laid before us by the enemy(ies)! People do NOT study enough to understand that 'separation' from all else EXCEPT *GOD*, IS THE WAY (2 CORINTHIANS 6: 17)...
WHEN we align with the world, we ARE in the path of endangerment, VIA the influence OF the wicked, evil, and those against THE LORD *GOD* ALMIGHTY, and so, we ARE inviting woes, and unnecessary adversity! We ARE TO BE A HOLY PRIESTHOOD, SERVING THE LORD *GOD*, and those who MIGHT BE SAVED! We ARE to snatch souls from the fire, and inspire, as well as being good, and doing good, as we traverse this realm IN EXODUS, FOR HIS GLORY!!!
1+++How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2+++But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3+++He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.
4+++The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
5+++Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6+++For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the wicked will perish.
To meditate in God's word, is to discourse with ourselves concerning the great things contained in it, with close application of mind and fixedness of thought. We must have constant regard to the word of God, as the rule of our actions, and the spring of our comforts; and have it in our thoughts night and day. For this purpose no time is amiss...
The ungodly are the reverse of the righteous, both in character and condition. The ungodly are not so, ver. 4; they are led by the counsel of the wicked, in the way of sinners, to the seat of the scornful; they have no delight in the law of God; they bring forth no fruit but what is evil.
The righteous are like useful, fruitful trees: the ungodly are like the chaff which the wind drives away: the dust which the owner of the floor desires to have driven away, as not being of any use. They are of no worth in God's account, how highly soever they may value themselves. They are easily driven to and fro by every wind of temptation. The chaff may be, for a while, among the wheat, but He is coming, whose fan is in his hand, and who will thoroughly purge his floor. Those that, by their own sin and folly, make themselves as chaff, will be found so before the whirlwind and fire of Divine wrath. The doom of the ungodly is fixed, but whenever the sinner becomes sensible of this guilt and misery, he may be admitted into the company of the righteous by Christ the living way, and become in Christ a new creature. He has new desires, new pleasures, hopes, fears, sorrows, companions, and employments. His thoughts, words, and actions are changed. He enters on a new state, and bears a new character. Behold, all things are become new by Divine grace, which changes his soul into the image of the Redeemer. How different the character and end of the ungodly!
SINCE we ARE SO easily blown, and tossed around, let us endeavour to ALWAYS study, absorb, and utilize THE WORD OF *GOD*, and BE BLESSED! THEN it WILL be well with our souls, and we WILL be ACTIVE CO-PARTNERS TO HIS COVENANT, and HIS PLAN! NOTHING else matters but the safety, and LIFE of souls, WHOM BELONG TO *GOD*, but have free will, thus, WILL be faced with the consequences of the decisions made in this valley! TURN TO *GOD* in more than thought, or word, instead IN TRUTH, and SPIRIT, FOR THIS IS OUR TRUTH, while actively SHINING OF HIM, that those lost in the darkness notice HIM, seek HIM, find HIM, and FOLLOW HIM!!!
