On the front of society as never, ever before;
No dialogue, only volatile diatribe,
For anyone whom who has the audacity to not subscribe,
All reasoning powers have been pushed aside...
Political assertions have gone far over the top; militancy and worse is on the verge,
Void of understanding that only in willingness to make concessions, and compromise, can we find a point to merge;
If we are forced to bow to one side, then how is anyone free,
And how is intelligence, or talent measured, since it cannot be,
When it is inhibited by others in their choice to limit the scopes of humanity???
Some are demanding that we adhere to what they think, feel, say, or do,
As if numbers make what they ascribe to, final, and true;
Liberty is not controlled by control freaks, nor any such means; it is a gift of our Constitution,
Subject to amendment, but not destroyed by the hysterics of incompetent revolution,
Instead, we are protected as a nation, by coming together, and establishing a working solution...
Morals, ethics, integrity, virtues, common courtesies, tolerance, understanding, and all which is just, and good,
Has been left wayside, as more and more, renounce existing as we should, and could;
Respect and regard, compassion, care, and other aspects which aid humans to co-exist,
Are being despised for the right to vehemently, and ineffectively, resist,
Which will only come back on them, if the trend worsens, and they persist...
It is the wholesome, and exemplary matters which made America strong,
They have kept us so, for ages long;
That which is negatively fueled, or through hostility brought forth, shall render us weak,
And leave us without the options about which our independence, does so eloquently speak,
Yah, if we keep on in this direction, our suffering will peak...
Diversity goes way beyond what one intends it to mean; our differences are to embrace,
While being melded, if you will, as we work as one, to assure this country stands in grace!
Opinions are a right, but wisdom often mutes them until they are proven, yea, or nay,
Emotions rarely win battles, not in history, not in this day,
Somehow, we have to look inside, each to their own heart, and let rationality, and fellow feeling, lead the way...
Remember, standards and principles are in place for our benefit,
They are time tested, and have withstood, as of yet;
Should you honestly, desire to live in a world lacking in lenity,
Then, that is what you will experience, eventually,
Though, the consequences ought to have you thinking, prior to that reality!!!
