SUNDAY'S SACRED SCRIPTURES: LET THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS SHINE...

We seek the WISDOM of THE LORD *GOD*, that we might fulfill our duty; that we might fulfill HIS WILL; that we might be freed from the shackles of continuous duress in this journey through time---

In the human condition, we are prone to taking everything for granted, in various degrees, which IS folly, as we know NOT the length of our days on this Earth, and to do so surely, hinders HIS WILL to work in us, through us, and around us...

In regard, and LOVE, do we seek THE LORD'S counsel, for ONLY WITH HIM, shall we be enabled to withstand the world; to endure, and persevere; to improve, and grow; and find ourselves yet ON THE PATH, even when all else is shaken! We CANNOT, honestly, take for granted ANYTHING, as we DON'T know if this breath will be our last; ONLY *GOD* KNOWS the duration of our existence in this realm; therefore, we plead with HIM to teach us, to guide us, to direct us, to sustain us, to provide for us, and to protect us! We NEED HIM so, and all in this world WILL eventually show us this TRUTH, even if it is in the end, hence, the wise pursue to understand WHILE they have this hour...

PROPER WORSHIP IS to HEED THE LORD *GOD* ALMIGHTY, FOR the purpose intended; to guard us, to aid us in thriving, flourishing, and thus, rejoicing! NO ONE, nor ANYTHING is more worthy of our attention, and our regard that it IS HE, as HE ALONE, leads TO ETERNAL PEACE, and JOY...

HOW can we know HIM, or TRUTH, IF we stand afar, and ignore what IS set before us???

It IS actually, SO simple, cut and dry, yet, in our backward ways, it SEEMS very difficult TO exist as HE WILLS! Ah, let us EVER SEEK HIM, LOVE, TRUTH, and LEARN FROM THE SOVEREIGN LORD, whose LOVE, GRACE, and MERCY endure forever!!!

PSALM 86...
1+++Incline Your ear, O LORD, and answer me;
For I am afflicted and needy.
2+++Preserve my soul, for I am a godly man;
O You my God, save Your servant who trusts in You.
3+++Be gracious to me, O Lord,
For to You I cry all day long.
4+++Make glad the soul of Your servant,
For to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
5+++For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.
6+++Give ear, O LORD, to my prayer;
And give heed to the voice of my supplications!
7+++In the day of my trouble I shall call upon You,
For You will answer me.
8+++There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord,
Nor are there any works like Yours.

Oh grant Your strength to Your servant,
And save the son of Your handmaid.

That those who hate me may see it and be ashamed,
Because You, O LORD, have helped me and comforted me.

Our poverty and wretchedness, when felt, powerfully plead in our behalf at the throne of grace. The best self-preservation is to commit ourselves to God's keeping. I am one whom thou favourest, hast set apart for thyself, and made partaker of sanctifying grace. It is a great encouragement to prayer, to feel that we have received the converting grace of God, have learned to trust in him, and to be his servants. We may expect comfort from God, when we keep up our communion with God. God's goodness appears in two things, in giving and forgiving. Whatever others do, let us call upon God, and commit our case to him; we shall not seek in vain.

Our God alone possesses almighty power and infinite love. Christ is the way and the truth. And the believing soul will be more desirous to be taught the way and the truth. And the believing soul will be more desirous to be taught the way and the truth of God, in order to walk therein, than to be delivered out of earthly distress. Those who set not the Lord before them, seek after believers' souls; but the compassion, mercy, and truth of God, will be their refuge and consolation. And those whose parents were the servants of the Lord, may urge this as a plea why he should hear and help them. In considering David's experience, and that of the believer, we must not lose sight of Him, who though he was rich, for our sakes became poor, that we through his poverty might be rich.

PSALM 90: 12-17...
12+++So teach us to number our days,
That we may present to You a heart of wisdom.
13+++Do return, O LORD; how long will it be?
And be sorry for Your servants.
14+++O satisfy us in the morning with Your lovingkindness,
That we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
15+++Make us glad according to the days You have afflicted us,
And the years we have seen evil.
16+++Let Your work appear to Your servants
And Your majesty to their children.
17+++Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us;
And confirm for us the work of our hands;
Yes, confirm the work of our hands.

Those who would learn true wisdom, must pray for Divine instruction, must beg to be taught by the Holy Spirit; and for comfort and joy in the returns of God's favour. They pray for the mercy of God, for they pretend not to plead any merit of their own. His favour would be a full fountain of future joys. It would be a sufficient balance to former griefs. 

Let the grace of God in us produce the light of good works. And let Divine consolations put gladness into our hearts, and a luster upon our countenances. The work of our hands, establish thou it; and, in order to that, establish us in it. Instead of wasting our precious, fleeting days in pursuing fancies, which leave the possessors for ever poor, let us seek the forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance in heaven. Let us pray that the work of the Holy Spirit may appear in converting our hearts, and that the beauty of holiness may be seen in our conduct.

Let us always be reminded, it IS ALL FOR HIS GLORY; there is NOTHING which will enter into eternity which denies this fact, and whatever, and whomever attests to HIM, WILL enjoy, and forever share IN HIS GLORY...
