Psalms 138 (A Psalm of David)
1/ I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.
2/ I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
3/ In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.
4/ All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
5/ Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.

One CANNOT earn GRACE, it is HIS own ESSENCE; a gift, still, IF one claims to be IN HIS GRACE, we ARE to, or, OUGHT to, be reflections of that GRACE! 2 CORINTHIANS 6:1, tells us not to take HIS GRACE in vain! This means, living in LOVE, morality, ethics, virtue, righteousness, and, spiritual improvement, TOWARDS, spiritual maturity, WHILE, visibly BEING as LIGHTS, beaming OF *GOD*, beckoning the world, TO THE LIGHT! Righteousness MEANS, conduct in conformity with *GOD'S* WILL, and, "Be HOLY because I AM HOLY!", therefore, indicating that knowledge, wisdom, and, effort, DO, apply TO the righteous!!! NEVER forget, we were grafted in, and, if we do not bear fruit, as a dead branch, we will be pruned out, just as were, the natural branches!!!

IF I claim ONENESS with *GOD*, through CHRIST JESUS, I am DEAD TO THE WORLD, THUS, LIVING as HIM, which is, hopefully, witnessed IN, and, THROUGH, my every thought, action, and, reaction; MEANING, I am, THROUGH CONSCIOUS application OF THE WORD, HIS COMMANDS, HIS WILL, REFLECTING righteousness, not, merely, FAITH! Free will is perhaps, the most misinterpreted, and misunderstood area of being human; many feel that this will GRANTS them permission to make decisions which are against *GOD*, THE LORD, THE HOLY SPIRIT! YES, free will ALLOWS us to make decisions, for IN these decisions, the heart of a person is brought to LIGHT, and shows their stance in matters of their allegiance TO *GOD*, or not...
BEING IN CHRIST, FULL OF LOVE for the *GODHEAD*, INSPIRES one to make better, more thought out, more aligned decisions, for HIS GLORY, for our own protection, and good, and for the good of others. Many people live in contrast to THE LORD, oft times unaware of doing so, because they have been misinformed, lack understanding, and so forth...
CHOOSING to rid of idolatry IS evidence of THE SPIRIT working in us, and not being grieved by fleshy inclinations! We CAN'T overcome on our own, BUT we CAN make decisions regarding, or disregarding the TRUTH of our existence, our spirit, WHICH BELONGS to *GOD*, and WILL be judged according to our decisions, which NO ONE can deny, we make on our own, either in REGARD, and RESPECT TO THE LORD, or in self-inclination...
Idolatry is VERY wide-spread, and even more misunderstood, because we are raised in the ways of the world for TOO long BEFORE we receive ample teaching about our TRUTH.
When we make unaligned decisions, and act in the flesh, instead of in the spirit, we INTERFERE with THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, and because we regard what we chose in the flesh as having more significance than what would be pleasing to THE LORD, we are acting AWAY from HIM; NOT that HE abandons us in these decisions, instead that we have abandoned HIM!!!
IF my carnal needs carry more importance than those which HONOUR THE LORD, HOW could I say I am in CHRIST, as when I CHOSE TO FOLLOW HIM, I became dead to the world, and ALIVE IN HIM, by means of the very spirit in me, which IS that which will spend eternity IN HIS KINGDOM, or not???
I WILL stumble, err, and fall along THE PATH, but I ALSO WILL, with CONSCIENTIOUSNESS OF HIS WILL, attempt to IMPROVE in areas where I have the most flaws, and increase my efforts to GROW, DEVELOP, and FLOURISH ON HIS VINE, which I HAVE BEEN GRAFTED INTO, BY HIS LOVE, MERCY, and GRACE, BECAUSE HE IS RIGHTEOUS, and therefore, my REALITY SHOULD be thus aligned, IN the best of my abilities, and capacities, WHILE RELYING ON HIM to further my understanding, knowledge, and steps towards my TRUE home.
IF I KNOW I am tempted repeatedly by something of the flesh, I ALSO KNOW I HAVE THE POWER THROUGH *GOD* TO RESIST, and OVERCOME! If I cave in to these temptations because they please ME, I am NOT yet acting in righteousness, and am CHOOSING the flesh over the spirit, so to speak.
SOMETIMES we fall into temptations, unconsciously; these are WAY different than the ones we CHOOSE to fall into; after all, the ruler of this world is hell bent on destroying our right to *GOD*! But the ones we CHOOSE to fall into because of pride, arrogance, or selfishness ARE those we NEED to assess, and correct!
We ARE BETTER THAN what the enemy would lead us to believe we are, and we ARE STRONGER than ANY temptation before us, IN THE LORD *GOD*, SAVIOUR, and HOLY SPIRIT; HE SHOWED US THE WAY, and GAVE US THE PATH, which is WELL LIT BY HIS GLORY, and HIS WILL: LET US FOLLOW CLOSELY at HIS HOLY heel!!!
