HE does this not only for the sake, and HOPE of others, but to SHOW, incontestably, the wicked ruler of this time that HIS people CANNOT be taken from HIM, save for their own apostasy! HE lets the world, and the world's ruler KNOW that even though someone might be worldly for a while; might be thrashed around by the enemy; might be chained by the oppressor, they BELONG TO THE LORD, and WITH HIM they shall be victorious, despite what damage the world might have done, or aspires to do! Yep, THE LORD SHALL use whom HE desires to bear witness to HIS MIGHT OVER all else!!!
27/ Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise, and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong,
28/ and God chose the lowly and despised of the world, those who count for nothing, to reduce to nothing those who are something,
29/ so that no human being might boast before God.
God did not choose philosophers, nor orators, nor statesmen, nor men of wealth, and power, and interest in the world, to publish the gospel of grace and peace. He best judges what men and what measures serve the purposes of his glory.
Though not many noble are usually called by Divine grace, there have been some such in every age, who have not been ashamed of the gospel of Christ; and persons of every rank stand in need of pardoning grace.
Often, a humble Christian, though poor as to this world, has more true knowledge of the gospel, than those who have made the letter of Scripture the study of their lives, but who have studied it rather as the witness of men, than as the word of God. And even young children have gained such knowledge of Divine truth as to silence infidels. The reason is, they are taught of God; the design is, that no flesh should glory in his presence.
That distinction, in which alone they might glory, was not of themselves. It was by the sovereign choice and regenerating grace of God, that they were in Jesus Christ by faith. He is made of God to us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption; all we need, or can desire. And he is made wisdom to us, that by his word and Spirit, and from his fulness and treasures of wisdom and knowledge, we may receive all that will make us wise unto salvation, and fit for every service to which we are called.
EACH of those of us, whom HE LIFTS from the chains, and clutches of the evil ruler, HAS a particular role IN HIS WILL; some with more presence than others, but nonetheless, EACH has a specific role, and duties to manifesting HIS WILL, and REFLECTING HIS GLORY, each according to their innate gifts, talents, and abilities! HE HAS IT ALL WORKED out, GENIUS that HE is!!!
It isn't about ANY of us, it IS about HIM, HIS WILL, HIS GLORY, and so, because of the hard as rocks pride of the world, HE takes certain people from obscurity to the front lines, to testify, and witness of HIS MAJESTY, HIS SOVEREIGNTY, and HIS POWERS! Not one who is pulled UP is capable of doing so on their own, it is HE whom HAS made things happen!!!
Oh, PRAISE HIM ALWAYS, WORSHIP HIS HOLINESS, and HIS GENIUS! REJOICE IN HIS LOVE, and DELIBERATE care of us!!!
