WEDNESDAY'S WISDOM: THE FULLNESS OF HIS LOVE; THE LIVING WORD OF LIFE...

If  FAITH is the full sum of our part in the COVENANT, then why, from before the time CHRIST ministered to the world, all the way through REVELATIONS is there endless, and imperative instructions for the Christian???

FAITH is to be accompanied by FAITHFULNESS, which begins, and ends in LOVE, and in that LOVE what benefits LOVE, and ALL in it's path! We are NOT well-grounded in this LOVE, and so, if we don't need to study this LOVE, learn this LOVE, and utilize it, WHY does SO much instruction exist for us???

Many people do not want to hear THE WORD in full, they have decided that it was written for some other reason than to TEACH us, and so again, I ask WHY does THE WORD entail SO much information for us to devour, and digest???

It CAN'T be that *GOD* wanted to waste HIS time, or to find ways to fill a particular amount of pages, SO tell me, WHY DOES THE WORD, and it's instructions exist???

Some tell me, when THE WORD is read to them, or discussed, "I don't believe that!" This FLOORS me, and I quickly PRAY for them, because 'I' didn't write THE BOOK, and IF they believe it was *GOD* inspired, and written, or that CHRIST IS THE LIVING WORD, HOW can they doubt what it says! They only believe in one part of the whole, redemption, NOT even bothering to understand that a COVENANT has 2 sides, which must be HONOURED by both sides, in which case, *GOD* HAS HONOURED HIS, so, that leaves us to HONOUR ours!!!

There are things in THE WORD that go against the grain of our human condition, and hurt the head, as well as the heart, but, HOW can we deny the TRUTH in such, when it IS THE WORD of *GOD*?!? Because we don't WANT to be reminded of our fallacies? Because we don't WANT to understand what it means to have a change of heart towards sin? Because we don't WANT to take off the old self? Because we don't WANT to do what is expected of us? Tell me, WHAT is it, which causes people to deny, or question THE WORD OF *GOD*???

Yes, there is symbolism, and other means of illustrating points in THE WORD, HOWEVER KEY points are plain, clear, and concise, so, HOW can we HOPE to ignore, side-step, or attempt to alter these???

It is painful for me to witness some of the adverse reactions of those whom claim CHRIST, and then deny THE WORD,  because their resistance TO HIS WILL holds some serious indications of the state of knowledge of believers, and their less than enthusiastic willingness to FOLLOW HIM. A pang shoots through me every single time I hear, "I don't believe that!", or, "I don't believe in most of THE BIBLE!"...

Certain people freak out totally, when they read how a Christian is to live; free from immorality, greed, lust, promiscuity, and all which is unfitting in the sight of CHRIST, and HIS CHURCH! They become downright mean at times, argumentative, and, as stubborn as a irate goat!!!

So, I ask again, WHY do you think THE WORD exists? WHY the vault of instructions? WHY did *GOD* use SO many people, over SO many centuries, if there is nothing pertinent in the pages of THE WORD, besides FAITH in CHRIST? WHY go beyond the core message? WHY is there a COVENANT, which has at least 2 sides? WHY would HE waste our time with insignificant lessons? WHY???

 There are over 200 BIBLE verses about THE WORD OF *GOD*! Let us take a look at one, which speaks volumes to us:
2 TIMOTHY 3: 16...
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,  

Those who would learn the things of God, and be assured of them, must know the Holy Scriptures, for they are the Divine revelation. The age of children is the age to learn; and those who would get true learning, must get it out of the Scriptures. They must not lie by us neglected, seldom or never looked into. 

The Bible is a sure guide to eternal life. 

The prophets and apostles did not speak from themselves, but delivered what they received of God, 2Pe 1:21. 

It is profitable for all purposes of the Christian life. It is of use to all, for all need to be taught, corrected, and reproved. 

There is something in the Scriptures suitable for every case. 

Oh that we may love our Bibles more, and keep closer to them! then shall we find benefit, and at last gain the happiness therein promised by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the main subject of both Testaments. We best oppose error by promoting a solid knowledge of the word of truth; and the greatest kindness we can do to children, is to make them early to know the Bible.
