CHRIST left us an IMPERATIVE command: THE LAW IS LOVE! LOVE is tough for us, in our human condition, to become one with, at least, IN the way CHRIST intends us to!!!
I witnessed this lack of understanding, firsthand, at a picnic, yesterday, at which, ALL attendees, proclaim to be Christians! I saw something important; MANY proclaimed Christians have LIMITS to their Christian actions, and, VERY strange harshness of reactions, to WHATEVER THEY deem BELOW them! What do I mean???
A Man, down on his luck, came to the trash cans to collect bottles, and, cans. Two Women gave him some of theirs, otherwise, people were, disdainfully, staring him down. Anyway, he was busily, emptying the cans of their worth, when several people, and, I, saw him eating off the disposed plates we had put in them. I cannot STAND to see this, and, happened to have LOTS of leftover food sitting around, so, I asked him, "Are you hungry?". He said that he was, so, discreetly, I gave him a plate of food. He kept saying, "Pasta salad!", and, I just happened to have some, so, I gave him a bowl of it, along with a napkin, and, a fork. By his speech, and, mannerisms, I assumed that he has suffered some kind of head injury, which, could explain his current state of existence. He went AWAY from our area, to an isolated picnic table, and, ate, for a LONG time, bothering NO ONE!!!
Well, you would have thought that I had done something AWFUL by the reactions of the Christian people at the picnic! They were not only indignant, they were VISIBLY, and, VERBALLY angry with me! It was MY food, which CAME to ME BY THE GRACE OF *GOD*, WHOM IS our PROVISION, and, it was HIS LOVE IN ME, that I shared with this Man! It should not have had ANY bearing upon these people, it did NOT affect them, nor, endanger them, in the least! It DID PROVE their LACK of UNDERSTANDING in the commandment of LOVE!!!
MATTHEW 25:34-40...
34/ Then the king will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
35/ For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me,
36/ naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’
37/ Then the righteous will answer him and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
38/ When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you?
39/ When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’
40/ And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’
There is ABUNDANT Scripture to ADD to this, but, the above says enough! Never forget also, HEBREWS 13:1-2...
1/ Let mutual love continue.
2/ Do not neglect hospitality, for through it some have unknowingly entertained angels.
We are to LIVE in BROTHERLY LOVE, with ALL people's! We CANNOT pick, and, choose, whom to share CHRIST'S LOVE with, as, in doing so, we are DENYING that HIS LOVE IS FOR ALL, and, we are RAISING ourselves ABOVE others, which LEADS us to wrongness of this world, which is SIN, although we are to be freed from sin, IN THE BODY OF THE CHURCH, CHRIST JESUS...
PROVERBS 16:18-19...
Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.
Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud.
PROVERBS 21:4...
Haughty eyes and a proud heart, the lamp of the wicked, are sin!
Luke 18:9-14 ...
9/ To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable:
10/"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
11/ The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector.
12/ I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.'
13/ "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
14/ "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."
Again, there is ABUNDANT Scripture to enforce the alignment to LOVE!!!
I witnessed THE WORD'S meaning, once again, BY the err of humanity! It saddened me, as, the consequences of the masses, is looming heavily, not to mention, the FAR reaching EFFECTS of this cold mentality, which, HINDERS the NECESSITY of LOVE, in these most, uncertain times!!!
No wonder CHRIST said on the cross, "FATHER, forgive them, for they know not what they do!"!!!
Christian people of the world, get your JESUS lessons learned, IN alliance with LOVE! We ARE to be IMITATORS of HIM, and, HIS LOVE, as EXAMPLES of HIS GREATNESS! *GOD* has said, "Be HOLY, because I AM HOLY!", are these mere words to us???
HOLY LOVE does NOT discern, it exists for ALL, and, is KIND, PATIENT, TOLERANT, CARING, SHARING, UNDERSTANDING, COMPASSIONATE, and, all other virtuous characteristics! It is NOT proven, nor, paid forward, by words, instead, BY ACTION, and, GOOD DEEDS!!!
I was PERSECUTED by Christian people, FOR BEING Christian, in thought, and, deed! That is unsettling, yet, it motivates me to FURTHER the understanding of CHRIST'S own commandment, TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER, as HE LOVES us!!!
All of my life, I have shared with others; my Daughter does the same, and, NO ONE on Earth, can change this, as, I KNOW that I AM DOING what the *GODHEAD* would have me to do, plus, I DETEST SUFFERING, as, IN the WHOLE of LOVE, it is NOT necessary, LOVE, FREELY, PROVIDES for ALL!!!!
