In general, we no longer listen to, or abide by TRUTH, instead we are compelled by conspiracy theories, gossip, deceptions of every sort, and other false narratives! We listen to the buzz, to the whisperers, to the senseless chatter of the hour, of the day...
TRUTH holds little importance any more, as people rush to judgement, and condemnation over almost all matters; fueled by the majority, though brought forth by an individual, or a few! No one is innocent until proven guilty, now, one is guilty until proven innocent, and in the meantime, people suffer greatly in the process of TRUTH being revealed, even when it has been beaten down, hidden, or twisted...
2 TIMOTHY 4: 3-4...
3+++For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires.
4+++So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
People will turn away from the truth, they will grow weary of the plain gospel of Christ, they will be greedy of fables, and take pleasure in them. People do so when they will not endure that preaching which is searching, plain, and to the purpose. Those who love souls must be ever watchful, must venture and bear all the painful effects of their faithfulness, and take all opportunities of making known the pure gospel.
JEREMIAH 17:5-10...
5+++Thus says the LORD,
“Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind
And makes flesh his strength,
And whose heart turns away from the LORD.
6+++“For he will be like a bush in the desert
And will not see when prosperity comes,
But will live in stony wastes in the wilderness,
A land of salt without inhabitant.
7+++“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD
And whose trust is the LORD.
8+++“For he will be like a tree planted by the water,
That extends its roots by a stream
And will not fear when the heat comes;
But its leaves will be green,
And it will not be anxious in a year of drought
Nor cease to yield fruit.
9+++“The heart is more deceitful than all else
And is desperately sick;
Who can understand it?
10+++“I, the LORD, search the heart,
I test the mind,
Even to give to each man according to his ways,
According to the results of his deeds.
He who puts confidence in man, shall be like the heath in a desert, a naked tree, a sorry shrub, the product of barren ground, useless and worthless. Those who trust to their own righteousness and strength, and think they can do without Christ, make flesh their arm, and their souls cannot prosper in graces or comforts.
Those who make God their Hope, shall flourish like a tree always green, whose leaf does not wither. They shall be fixed in peace and satisfaction of mind; they shall not be anxious in a year of drought. Those who make God their Hope, have enough in him to make up the want of all creature-comforts. They shall not cease from yielding fruit in holiness and good works.
He that believes God's testimony in this matter, and learns to watch his own heart, will find this is a correct, though a sad picture, and learns many lessons to direct his conduct. But much in our own hearts and in the hearts of others, will remain unknown. Yet whatever wickedness there is in the heart, God sees it. Men may be imposed upon, but God cannot be deceived.
WHO will listen to TRUTH? Few WANT to hear it, and even fewer want to live it! The carnality of the day rules, as the sense, and right of freedom is distorted, and living is expressing every desire, want, need, regardless of the dangers for such, as well as for those involved! Just because you can do something DOESN'T make it right, nor does it make it good, for you, or for others! We HAVE SELF-CONTROL for a multitude of reasons, one of which is that, thinking, saying, doing ANY, and EVERY thing we want to is, OFTEN, NOT right, just, or good!!!
FOR EVERYTHING THERE IS A PRICE TO PAY; A CONSEQUENCE, be that good, or not! There IS RECOMPENSE FOR EVERY SINGLE thought, action, and reaction, INDEED! It may, or may not be instantaneous, but it IS coming!!!
The world as we knew it changed in a flash, and it WASN'T change for the good; NOT at all! Some of us are reeling from the quickness of the change(s)! People changed in a snap, or their true colours came to light! At any rate, we are heading into darkness, destruction, distress, and damage from these times, and it won't get any better as long as LESS are TEACHING, or INSPIRING others to OPEN their eyes, ears, and hearts!!!
The heart INDEED is shown by the way one responds to what is right, just, and good, and to the world! Those who ARE OF CHRIST JESUS ARE to BE a NEW being; FULL of that heart which REFLECTS HIM, and HIS WILL! There is NO HALF-STEPPING, unless it is not deliberate, but as we know, too many ARE deliberate in their lukewarm Christianity, and THIS BECAUSE they listen to the world, and NOT THE TRUTH! Too, MANY MIGHT be saved IF they could train their hearts, ears, and emotions TOWARDS THE LORD!!!
DESPITE the willingness to be deaf TO TRUTH, people such as myself MUST continue to share THE WORD, THE LORD, HIS WILL, LOVE, and what IS good, THAT IF there is a chance, one or more might take it! It IS with more difficulty that we do so, as we KNOW that fewer are paying attention, or hearing, or what have you, STILL we LOVE enough, both *GOD*, and others that we SHALL continue to DO what HE intends for us to do!!!
It is NEVER TOO LATE, unless in defiance, or denial, one has chosen to plug their ears, and shroud their eyes, while following the deception, and the lies!!!
