Would we be strengthened, it must be in quietness and in confidence, keeping peace in our own minds, and relying upon God. They think themselves wiser than God; but the project by which they thought to save themselves was their ruin. Only here and there one shall escape, as a warning to others. If men will not repent, turn to God, and seek happiness in his favour and service, their desires will but hasten their ruin. Those who make God alone their confidence, will have comfort. God ever waits to be gracious to all that come to him by faith in Christ, and happy are those who wait for him.
17+++The LORD is righteous in all His ways
And kind in all His deeds.
18+++The LORD is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
19+++He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He will also hear their cry and will save them.
All God's works show forth his praises. He satisfies the desire of every living thing, except the unreasonable children of men, who are satisfied with nothing. He does good to all the children of men; his own people in a special manner. Many children of God, who have been ready to fall into sin, to fall into despair, have tasted his goodness in preventing their falls, or recovering them speedily by his graces and comforts. And with respect to all that are heavy laden under the burden of sin, if they come to Christ by faith, he will ease them, he will raise them. He is very ready to hear and answer the prayers of his people. He is present every where; but in a special way he is nigh to them, as he is not to others. He is in their hearts, and dwells there by faith, and they dwell in him. He is nigh to those that call upon him, to help them in all times of need. He will be nigh to them, that they may have what they ask, and find what they seek, if they call upon him in truth and sincerity. And having taught men to love his name and holy ways, he will save them from the destruction of the wicked. May we then love his name, and walk in his ways, while we desire that all flesh should bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Staying focused, and strong is sometimes, easier than thought, said, or done, yet, we have to KEEP our reliance in THE LORD, and TRUST HIM, which means calming that which distracts us, and takes us away from TRUTH, and the PEACE HE HAS GIVEN us. Yah, we will be flipped, and flopped, thanks to emotionalism, and self-generated rationale based upon our senses, BUT we MUST REMAIN IN HIM, THAT HE remains in us---
These ARE VERY difficult days, and the mind is busier than it should be concerning worldly matters, which causes us more unrest, and SO, we HAVE TO PRAY ALL THE WHILE, as we tame the urges all this distraction, and discord has made, while TRUSTING *GOD* to lead us past, and through all we endure, and suffer! We LIFT our fears, worries, anxieties, frustrations, and whatever brings us down, TO THE LORD *GOD* ABOVE!!!
Our best training, and our armour ARE found, and SECURED THROUGH being knowledgeable, understanding, and steadfast IN HIM, HIS WILL, HIS WORD, and our communication with HIM! We are NOT gonna be perfect in aiming to be strong; there IS TOO MUCH going on, and NONE of it makes much sense, SO, we WILL be tossed about, though the extent of that depends on our own reactions, and actions to such, hence WHY we NEED TO REMAIN IN THE LORD, for ONLY HE CAN, and WILL RAISE us during the dragnet which seeks to take as many away from HIM, TRUTH, and LOVE, as is possible...
Believe me, I KNOW these days ARE creating havoc within, as well as without! We HAVE had to deal with a sudden, unknown, and unpredictable amount of troubles, just like that, void of time to take it in; we have been whopped, and we are unsure of everything, thus, we ARE endangered as we attempt to keep it together! Sometimes I am perfectly fine, other times, I am so blown away by the day's happenings, I feel lost, YET, THESE times ARE those times when I have to KICK my FAITH into OVERDRIVE, as I WAIT ON THE LORD, PRAY, and HOPE! It ISN'T easy to stay confident when the world is shaking us hard, STILL WE MUST, for we ARE equipped, and strengthened enough to do so!!!
There is NO telling, or predicting what today's ills might create for the days ahead, STILL, we RELY ON THE LORD *GOD*, and HOPE, while PRAYING, and STANDING STEADFAST IN HIS WILL, and WAYS! It IS SO easy to be swept away in the turmoil, frenzy, and carnage, HOWEVER, we HAVE A WAY, and MUST cling to HIM!!!
Evil, CHOSEN wicked ways, rebellion, and other negative mindsets HAVE caused us to experience what we had never imagined before, but what is NOT new in history, and every time people PUSH their ways beyond the pale, or against THE LORD, ramifications DO come to teach us, quell our overt passions, desires, and turbulent ways! The blame lies on humans, and the principalities, authorities, and rulers of evil of this world, which are hell bent on shaking us into oblivion, and which succeed, in part, due to ignorance OF *GOD*, of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and of our own CHOSEN errs!!!
THE LORD *GOD* IS OUR CHAMPION, AND DELIVERER, EVEN from the worst! TRUST HIM, and INVOKE HIM, and go forth SINGING THE SONGS OF VICTORY!!!
