MATTHEW 23: 27-28...
27+++Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of dead men’s bones and every impurity.
28+++In the same way, on the outside you appear to be righteous, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
We are really, what we are inwardly. Outward motives may keep the outside clean, while the inside is filthy; but if the heart and spirit be made new, there will be newness of life; here we must begin with ourselves. The righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees was like the ornaments of a grave, or dressing up a dead body, only for show. The deceitfulness of sinners' hearts appears in that they go down the streams of the sins of their own day, while they fancy that they should have opposed the sins of former days. We sometimes think, if we had lived when Christ was upon earth, that we should not have despised and rejected him, as men then did; yet Christ in his Spirit, in his word, in his ministers, is still no better treated. And it is just with God to give those up to their hearts' lusts, who obstinately persist in gratifying them. Christ gives men their true characters.
As the whole world listens in, and watches, our present gnashing, and infighting IS more than visible, it IS turning the tides of time, which by the way, we are NOT aware of, as we are oh, so wrapped up in the mess at hand! The BEAUTY of our nation IS being defiled, and diminished as we wage war with one another, and put politics ahead of all else; the same as a person whom is beautiful on the outside, but is ugly as sin on the inside...
WHERE IS THE WISDOM which LEADS us? WHERE IS THE UNITY which BINDS us? WHERE IS THE SENSE which SAVES us? WHERE ARE we headed as we slide downward into the pits of discord, and dissension???
Our country NEEDS to be HEALED from the damages done in the past 11 years or so! We NEED to PRESERVE our dignity, our strengths, our ethics, and all which made us great in the first place, which includes KEEPING *GOD* INTACT, BECAUSE HE IS THE FOUNDATION on which we DID build!!!
DEAD ARE COMPASSION, CARE, RESPECT, and REGARD FOR our fellow citizens, and humankind! SO OBVIOUS in our words, and actions! What we are battling over IS SELFISH, as it boils down to individuals whom HAVE the power to influence, and HAVE done so with their twisting of rights, and liberties!!!
IF I were not a native, I doubt I would have desire to come to this volatile valley of babyish contention! NO WAY! WHO wants to exist in all this drama, and trauma, AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE IS any of this happening? So that one party might be proven more effective in their distortion than the other? SERIOUSLY, WHAT GOOD does this battle bring to the table???
MATURITY IS REQUIRED of ALL LEADERS, Adults, and especially, of Christians, otherwise, there is NO advancement, instead, a mass lining up at the slippery slope!!!
NONE, NOT ONE is WITHOUT flaw, faults, imperfections, or errs, but in this hostile political environment we are embroiled in, you would not know it! EVERYONE IS acting as if they are whole, pure, and complete, and so, HYPOCRISY IS RAMPANT, and SHOWN!!!
Again, GROW UP, and CONSIDER WHAT THE OUTCOME of all this could be, BECAUSE PERIL IS AT THE DOOR the MORE we IGNORE everything else for the lame excuse of politics!!!
