Today is generally devoted to discussion of the cursing of the fig tree, and the questioning of CHRIST JESUS' authority, but I would like to begin this week with the cleansing of the Temple, as there is an imperative understanding we should take to heart, and consider...
12+++And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves.
13+++And He said to them, “It is written, ‘MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER’; but you are making it a ROBBERS’ DEN.”
Christ found some of the courts of the temple turned into a market for cattle and things used in the sacrifices, and partly occupied by the money-changers. Our Lord drove them from the place, as he had done at his entering upon his ministry, Joh 2:13-17.
His works testified of him more than the hosannas; and his healing in the temple was the fulfilling the promise, that the glory of the latter house should be greater than the glory of the former. If Christ came now into many parts of his visible church, how many secret evils he would discover and cleanse! And how many things daily practiced under the cloak of religion, would he show to be more suitable to a den of thieves than to a house of prayer!
This IS important BECAUSE as heirs to THE KINGDOM, we ARE to ARISE to our REALITY, which does NOT see us trying to fit into the world, for we ARE FAR more ELEVATED!!!
Time is shortening, and we know NOT when our LORD shall return; therefore, it IS MANDATORY that THE CHURCH DO it's work, and fulfill HIS WILL, which is to grab from the world, the lost, and SHINE BRILLIANTLY TRUE OF HIM! There ARE a LOT of wrongs we NEED to right in our Churches, and in ourselves, for we ARE to BE Temples of THE LORD, POWERED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, BY HIS WILL, BY LOVE, BY RIGHTEOUSNESS, BY ALL WHICH GLORIFIES HIM, now, and forevermore!!!
HAVE we grown tired of THE WAY that we should ALLOW our Churches to border on any wrong? ARE we weakened by the flesh in this late date, despite our KNOWING that we are spirit? SHALL we continue to be complacent in our PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LORD *GOD*? DON'T we understand we HAVE GREAT PURPOSE, and REASON IN HIS WILL, and PLAN???
This message touched me to the core, as I observe, and listen to the voice of the Churches in this time! SO MUCH NEEDS to be done, and yet, we appear to be going in directions FAR REMOVED from TRUTH! We OUGHT to be living UP to our stature (HIGH CALLING), and EXHIBITING HIM, as EXACTLY as is feasible! We HAVE to REMAIN IN HIM MORE than anything else; and LEARN of HIM, more, more, and more, THAT we DO GLOW OF HIM, even when we aren't aware of it!!!
We ARE to take ON the likeness of CHRIST JESUS, and a great example of this is:
And He said to them, “Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?”
Know ye not that I ought to be in my Father's house; at my Father's work; I must be about my Father's business. Herein is an example; for it becomes the children of God, in conformity to Christ, to attend their heavenly Father's business, and make all other concerns give way to it.
Ah, the lessons we learn each day! Lessons which OUGHT to be taking us HIGHER into our REALITY! Let us PRAY to STAND STRONG IN CHRIST JESUS, and TO BE ALL we ARE IN HIS NAME! Let us BLESS HIM, PRAISE HIM, WORSHIP HIS HOLINESS, and REJOICE for ALL HE IS, and DOES, and let us HONOUR HIM BY BEING more, and more, LIKE HIM!!!
