I am holding onto the good that will come my way;
I PRAISE *GOD* for all HE HAS done, and WILL do,
I THANK HIM for always leading me through...
No one EVER said existence would be easy, nor that our wants would be fulfilled,
This doesn't mean that we can't find PEACE, and be thrilled!
WE have responsibility to lend as much quality, and brilliance, as we can,
For the purpose of UPLIFTING the oppressed state, of our fellow Man!!!
The sun is shining, and while things around me are not perfect,
I take to heart the POSITIVES, which I can find, or get;
My mind remains HOPEFUL, my FAITH is intact,
I TRUST IN THE LORD, that's a matter of fact!!!
Sometimes I worry, sometimes I fret, sometimes there is anxiety,
But I WON'T allow what affects my emotions, to get the best of me;
I may not have it all together, I may falter a bit, here or there,
Still, I CANNOT allow myself the time to wallow, or drown in despair...
Moments, hours, days, weeks, months, and years fly right on by,
Far too fast for me to be bound to anything, which does little, but belie
THE TRUTH of my SAVIOUR who keeps me busy enough,
To be able to ARISE, from worldly stuff!!!
Each day is a reason to begin anew,
Regardless of what we are going through,
I believe that if we start on a HOLY note,
All which works against us, remains more remote...
While I might be rocked, I might be knocked for a loop, I
KEEP my being elevated, my spirit on HIGH,
So the world hasn't the power to take me too far down, NO!,
I CLING to *GOD*, HE HAS SOVEREIGN POWER OVER ALL, you know?!!
Cast your troubles aside, PRAY to HIM, and be GRATEFUL for HIS every aid,
WITH HIM, despite the trials, there is GREATNESS to be made;
There are BLESSINGS, GIFTS, and MIRACLES to be found,
I tell you frankly, WITH HIM, optimization DOES abound!!!
