What is lost of one season, is found in what another brings.
Each has its purpose in natures intrinsic course,
Also, each has an effect on emotions, from giddiness, to remorse...
Winter is the longest season, why, I am not sure,
It is the most difficult for me to endure,
For the grayness, the bitter cold, seem to linger on,
Oh, how many times I have wished for it to be gone!
Aids in replenishing the earth, that its harvest will overflow,
Yes, there is sound sense in the iced scenery,
Though, I tell you, plush green, most appeals to me...
When the Spring comes around,
My being does a rebound,
I jump up, and down, with utter amazement, true!
While blades of grass shoot up, as if attempting to touch the sky, so blue!
Flit around, just as carefree as they please!
The sun shines, the ground is warmed, flowers bloom,
Weary people shake off the Winters gloom...
Then, beautiful Summer, with colors of all kinds,
Enlighten, and inspire our minds.
So much to see, to do,
We scurry to make all warm season dreams come true...
Red, gold, yellow, and bronze speckle the world, with ease;
Glorious piles of raked gatherings to play in,
Just to have to rake them up again...
Cider mills, apples, apple pies, apples galore,
Bounties of harvest, endless goodies to stock up on, and store,
For those days when we need to pull some memories out,
Ah, this is what the change of seasons is all about...
Which are sometimes fantastic, and other times, to leave behind;
Change is natural to CREATION, all things, all matters must do so,
It is that which makes us strong, knowledgeable, and which helps us grow...
No matter the season, *GOD'S MASTERFUL handiwork is to be found,
HIS SPLENDOR does more than resonate and abound,
Each day is an inspiring gift from HIS heart of LOVE,
Thus, let me be always grateful, and give PRAISE TO HIM ABOVE!!!!
