The world insists that we are free to live as we choose, wallowing in every pleasure which appeals to any of the senses, striving to fulfill every wish, and dream, and otherwise pleasing the self over all else...
The world will challenge anyone who has the strength to resist, the understanding to desist, the knowledge to persist in the name of *GOD*, and often, the challenges come from those who claim THE LORD as their *GOD*, for they are wrapped up in the world, while WORSHIPING HIM from afar, yet believing that all is well with them, now, and forever...
The world is tangible, and THE LORD is SPIRIT, therefore people tend to place what is touchable in the forefront, as they attempt to reason there lies a distinctive way to have both, despite what we have been taught of HIM, and HIS WILL! TO LOVE THE WORLD IS ENMITY WITH *GOD*, JAMES 4, 1 JOHN 2, and ROMANS 12, are as mere words for too many...
The world IS ever aspiring to captivate to the point of eternal loss, the souls of humanity; don't forget this! When one chooses the world, it's ways, and it's forms of happiness OVER *GOD*, one has shown their heart to HIM...
The world will vilify the strong, they will taunt the informed, they will find any means to attempt to sway them; they will tempt, they will craftily, create allusions; they will draw us in, drag us in, rope, and bind us! They will use the serpents own words to reason that this time IS for the pursuit of whatever one desires! Yes, they will use any way feasible to disrupt those who choose to remain FAITHFUL TO HIS WILL, and unfortunately, they are successful far too often...
*GOD* IS EVERYWHERE, and IN EVERYTHING; HE IS NOT distanced, HE IS NOT far removed, HE IS TANGIBLE, and HE IS ALL KNOWING, ALL SEEING, ALL POWERFUL! There is NO escaping HIS scrutiny, HIS attention, HIS wrath, REGARDLESS of what the world would have us to believe! THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF KNOWLEDGE, PROVERBS 1. NOTHING in this world can grant knowledge to make it through to our rightful inheritance; this is ONLY BY HIM that we are able, and this means THROUGH A PROCESS of SANCTIFICATION, in which we conform TO HIS WILL, while conducting ourselves accordingly, which is possible THROUGH HIS GRACE, CHRIST JESUS, and the instructions of HIS WORD, which SAYS, "BE HOLY AS I AM HOLY", and "FOLLOW ME", and "WHOEVER WANTS TO BE MY DISCIPLE MUST DENY THEMSELVES"!!!
The world DOESN'T lead us to our TRUE home; it DOESN'T have the POWER to bring us into our REALITY; instead, the only power it has is to blind-sight those who BELONG TO THE LORD!!!
No matter what is happening in this world, no matter how many attempt to dissuade the FAITHFUL, it is ALL futile IF we REMAIN IN THE LORD! The only reason such exists, I think, is to PROVE the lot of each of us, as CHOICES speak volumes to THE LORD, and SHOW the heart of hearts, and the use of the free will which we wave as a banner to justify our every action!!!
The world is temporal, THE LORD IS ETERNAL! The world is deceptive, THE LORD IS TRUTH! The world is touchable, THE LORD TOUCHES us! The world is the world, OVER WHICH *GOD* IS THE SOVEREIGN RULER, and LORD OF! Those OF HIM, are NOT of the world, and so, let us not be lost therein!!!
The world says, "All you see can be yours, IF you follow me", *GOD* laughs, and says, "Understand, all the world offers combined is a drop in a burning bucket, you ain't seen nothing, yet!"! The world's glory is false, TO *GOD* BE THE GLORY, forever, and ever, AMEN!!!

[Worship can be defined as the act of honoring and loving a deity, idol or person in a “selfless” manner. The act of worship involves the total self in giving praise, thanksgiving and reverence to that deity, person or material object. It is not a half-hearted affair, and it is only after we distinguish between that which is and isn’t worship, with regards to the divine objective, that we can begin to answer the above question more fully.
So, the true worship of God is distinguished by the following criteria: first, it comes from the redeemed heart of a man or woman who has been justified before God by faith and who is trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness of sins. How can one worship the God of heaven if his sin has not been dealt with? Never can that worship be acceptable that proceeds from an unregenerate heart where Satan, self and the world hold sway (2 Timothy 2:26; 1 John 2:15). Any worship, other than that from a “washed” heart, is vain.}
