And it will be said in that day, "Behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that He might save us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited; Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation."
With joy and praise will those entertain the glad tidings of the Redeemer, who looked for him; and with a triumphant song will glorified saints enter into the joy of their Lord. And it is not in vain to wait for him; for the mercy comes at last, with abundant recompence for the delay.
The hands once stretched out upon the cross, to make way for our salvation, will at length be stretched forth to destroy all impenitent sinners. Moab is here put for all adversaries of God's people; they shall all be trodden down or threshed. God shall bring down the pride of the enemies by one humbling judgment after another. This destruction of Moab is typical of Christ's victory, and the pulling down of Satan's strong holds. Therefore, beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord; for your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
In the days of the ancients, the Devout spent much time PRAYING, and BELIEVING. Their every move was accompanied by FAITH, as they waited upon THE LORD, with FIRM belief of HIS every provision for their lives! Leaders, Priests, Prophets, Commanders of the armed forces, and most of the people, RELIED UPON HIM for their every need, for safety, for deliverance, and as long as they were FAITHFUL, HE was also, to them!!!
We can learn SO very much from the ancients; through their defiance, and their reliance! Are they, after all, any more fickle than are we? The enmity of their time is also, ours! Like them, many of us waver, we turn away, and when we are surmounted by troubles, THEN we call on HIM! HIS LOVE is amazing, as HIS compassion is stirred by those who call on HIM, no matter the fact that they, then, go back to their former ways! HE deserves better than this, but alas, the human condition is shackled by wrongness!!!
No matter what is happening in this world, in this time, in our lives, we should RELY on, and WAIT ON THE LORD, for HE ALONE is TRUE; HE ALONE is our DELIVERER; HE ALONE is RELIABLE; HE ALONE LOVES enough to lead us to victory!!!
In this Easter season, let us study, and learn what it means to wait on THE LORD, and let us make it a part of every single hour, of every given day! Let us HONOUR HIM with HUMBLED DEPENDENCE, steadfast FAITH, and FAITHFULNESS!!!
PRAISE THE LORD ALWAYS, WORSHIP HIS HOLINESS, REJOICE IN HIS LOVE, and care for us, and be THANKFUL that HE IS patient, and HIS MERCY stays HIS hand!!!
