For instance, the average minimum wage is $7. 25 an hour, which for full time, 40 hours a week, comes to $290.00 a week, BEFORE taxes, which is roughly 15%, so, after taxes, this leaves less than $250 a week to live on! $10 an hour isn't enough either, but, it provides a SLIGHT bit more to work with! Those single Parents with Children, CANNOT afford to live on this, in fact, I did some figuring, and I could NOT live on this, alone, no matter what I sacrificed, because housing, utilities, food, car expenses, and other bare NECESSITIES in order to secure work, eat it all up, and more! This is less than a $1, 000 a month to live on, at 40 hours, which, with a Family to raise, means that it would be extremely difficult to work even more hours, then, add on additional Child care expenses, and well, HOW are people supposed to live on this, and WHO can justify it? We are advised to get more education, which costs a small fortune, so HOW, and when someone is working full time, or 2 jobs, HOW???
Let's look closely at this: Housing is at the very least, $500 a month, then, electricity, about $70, heat varies, but is no less than $70, up to hundreds in colder months, food, per person, at the very least, $70, gas for the car, at least $80 per week, and upward, non-food supplies, at least $50, and upward, and, if there are Children, there are countless expenses, SO, the measly $1,000 is already gone, and there is NO insurance listed here, not for the car, not for health, not for the future, let alone, toys, and other things that make a Child's life! Do you see cell phones, cable, computer, electronics, and other such in this list, which most people need to secure work, for school, and vital to Familial communications???
Oh MERCY! No wonder homelessness increases daily, and there are MILLIONS of Children facing this horrible reality, along with their Parent(s), who HAVE done their share, and more! Add to the above fact that unemployment is rampant in many states, and work is scarce...
Let us PRAY! Let us help out as we can! Let us DO something!!!
WHAT kind of brilliant minds are in control of such matters? Have they TRIED to make ends meet with nothing? We REALLY need to PRAY for them!!!
No wonder there is HOPELESSNESS, discouragement, and other negatives; not to mention an increase in crime, in EVERY category! People get desperate, instincts prompt them to FIND a way to survive, OR, they crush under the pressure, and react adversely...
The Government would do well to consider the WHOLE picture of economic stability, not in part, and not from their comfortable stance!!!
I cannot become entangled in politics, and I have NO desire to, though, I WILL stand strong for the rights of people EVERYWHERE! LOGICALLY, there is a HUGE imbalance in the system that NEEDS to be, not only considered, but, balanced! LOGICALLY, when more, and more people are forced into the streets, and into lifestyles affected by such, it costs the Government MORE money, as well as the taxpayers, in numerous, and expensive ways; SO, IF the economical system WAS balanced, this would take a HUGE amount of deficit OFF of the entire country!!!
The COST OF LIVING NEEDS to stabilize, even freeze for a while, while wages NEED to RISE, that there is comes a point of balance! Of course, that won't happen, but, it has SENSE!!!
Ah well, I don't think I have heard ANYONE say that Government was LOGICAL...
There is a rush to find SOME kind of work online, and unfortunately, this also, becomes a cash eater, as many rip people off! There ARE some that are honest, but, the WHOLE WORLD is trying to make more money! There HAS to be ways to make more, but, I think, personally, after trying many things myself, that it is best to devise a way for oneself, not online, though, as I said, there are those that MIGHT be worthy...
Our SOLE reliance MUST be on *GOD*, for HE IS MIGHTY, and DOES provide for HIS own! Though sadly, the more down people get, the less they consider HIM, as they are washed away in seas of troubles. Let us get FORTIFIED, and stand behind *GOD*, and let HIS mysterious WILL, and WAYS lead us! I BELIEVE there IS a SOLUTION for EVERY problem, and that solutions BEGIN with *GOD*, FAITH, and FAITHFULNESS!!!
I urge citizens to be pro-active in electing officials, and in FINDING solutions to the dilemma we face in these times! Complacency HAS led us to these times, as well as taking the great American dream for granted...
In the meantime, let us PRAY, and THINK of ways to HELP, and to spread HOPE, and ENCOURAGEMENT! There are people very close to you whom ARE struggling, and ANYTHING you can share with them ADDS to their days, and their HOPE! ALL single Parents welcome clothes, for the Children, or themselves, toys, books, paper, pens, markers, snacks, treats, and things that they just CAN'T afford to buy, because the money they work hard for, doesn't go far enough! Let us, today, step into the GRACE OF MERCY, and do good for the sake of others! Let us LIVE in CHRIST'S example of LOVE, and let us stand AS ONE in the face of adversity...
May *GOD* BLESS, and BE with us ALL! May we, no matter what, REMAIN IN HIM, PRAISE HIM, WORSHIP HIM, REJOICE IN HIS PRESENCE, and HIS WORKS, and, may we HONOUR HIM with the good of ourselves! STAND STRONG PEOPLE OF THIS LIFE, STAND UNITED! MUCH LOVE to you, take care, and LET US PRAY, while doing what we CAN to assist others!!! OXOXOXO
