I think one of the most difficult things for any Parent to do, is to TRY to show their offspring, that certain freedoms, are not really freedoms, and, certainly, are not good for them! It is through trials, tribulations, and, maturity, that, hopefully, they will begin to see the necessity for order, and, sensibility in their lives!!!
We are like wild horses, we don't want to be tamed, we just want to run free, until we are old! Funny thing, as we age, we can't keep up with this mentality, and, often, without realizing it, become quite tame, through all the wildness we survived!!!
Often, I imagine *GOD* in HIS role, as FATHER of us, HIS Children, just shaking HIS HOLY head, then, after more than enough, throwing some curves our way, that we are CAUSED to think, and, reconsider our ways! I don't know HOW HE handles all the pressure, but, that is why HE IS *GOD*!!!
HIS WAY is, actually, the easiest way, but, because we are raised backwards from THE TRUTH, we have the hardest time recognizing, and, appreciating the facts! We are SO used to having it our way, doing what we want, while hoping, and, believing that HE WILL forgive us anything, like a spoiled Daughter, or, Son, with feigned regret, and, big teary eyes! Comical sometimes...
Obedience, humility, reverence, and, solemnity, do not entice us, as do their opposites! Such behaviours stir up images of dull, dormant, lifeless people, and, scares many people away from being *GODLY*! This is because of deception, and, the ideal that how we live our lives IS the norm, and, what is *GODLY* is not!!!
While we WANT to be included in the eternal GRACE of *GOD*, we don't want to have to give up 'the life'! We want it both ways, but, unfortunately, we canNOT serve 2 Masters, and, it should be noted that 'the life' is NOT what is good for us, because this time, this life, is like a time slot, and, quickly passes away, but, the inclusion into eternity, IS FOREVER, and, THAT which, we MOST want, even if we are too distracted to realize it!!!
Sure, it is different to walk with HIM, wholly, but, it is not like becoming a Monk! We can still enjoy life, it is simply, enjoyed with a more enhanced, and, moral approach! We can't run wild, and, give in to every passion, and, desire, but you see, when we CHOOSE to walk with HIM, we UNDERSTAND that our desires are NOT healthy, or, fitting for our role as heirs to a most HIGH KINGDOM, AND, that our desires should be FOR HIS GLORY, and, to fulfill HIS WILL!!!
I endeavor to explain, in ways which will touch the sensibility of ALL, that, more people realize, it is NOT a drudgery to serve THE LORD, but, TRUE freedom exists in doing so! I long to find the exact words that will paint the perfect picture to reach everyone, but, it is not easy, because of the LOVE of this world, and, it's enticements, but, it is IMPERATIVE for us, ALL to embrace, and, *GOD* HIMSELF has said it all!!!
My life has altered, no doubt, but, I am no little ol' Preacher Lady, demure, and, docile! NO WAY! Well, I am kind of demure, but, not exactly! I am still ME, only BETTER! *GOD* DOESN'T want to change YOU, the person HE CREATED, HE wants to change your heart of hearts, and, bring FORTH the spirit, the TRUE YOU, which is, LOVE, full of well-being, health, vitality, and, very BLESSED!!!
I still wanna have fun too, I just know the difference between the kind of fun that is damaging to my eternal future, and, that which, adds to my eternal future! Even Monks have fun, 'ya know???
Just something to think about! I LOVE you in the name of *GOD*, and, I TRULY, want ALL of us to share THE KINGDOM, with our wondrous, HOLY, and, LOVING LORD! May HE BLESS, and, BE with us all, as we grow into new, improved ways of FUN!!!
