Summer is not over, but, is rapidly fading! Time for School! Time State Parks, and, many of the Beaches, and, more, to be discontinued, or, to close! Time for change! Time for serious tasking, deliberate concentration, and, busying ourselves with more important matters, than, sunscreen, beach towels, where to go next, and, so on! It is Labor Day, and, tomorrow means Summer, abruptly ended, for most, but, will linger long enough to distract, tempt, and, frustrate us, as we TRY to buckle down to whatever!!!
Well, we DID have this one last, long weekend to enjoy! Though, I can sense the anguish of MANY, as reality sets in! While celebrating that last big trip to the Beach, boating, BBQ, or, picnic, thoughts are surely, turning to details; details concerning organization for those first hectic days back to the grind, planning what to wear, lunches, and, other such! However, in the background, I can hear Parents in their jubilation, trying to contain their relief, that, finally, Summer vacation is over; not because they didn't like having the Children home, but, they are worn out from finding ways to keep them entertained, and, so forth...
To everything, there is a season! We have to learn to be content in ALL times, and, ALL matters! Just listening to Kids complain through most of the Summer of being bored, and, restless, proves that we are NOT meant to have too much freedom:)))
Our well-being, and, health, relies, first upon *GOD*, then, hard work, learning, and, busyness, regardless of the hours we spend dreaming about Paradise, and, being allowed to do anything, at any time! We just, aren't designed like that, and, having time on your hands, is NOT all it is purported to be, and, CAN cause us to dip off the deep end, from monotony; even the wealthiest people in the world, after chasing their dreams, wind up seeking a break from their freedom...
Just sigh, and, thank *GOD* that you had this time to do what you did! Take everything that was wonderful from this past Summer, into the recesses of your memory, to tap into, when the weight of what is to come, and, the cold, dark days, begin to overtake you! You will be able to refresh yourself in an instant with recall, retrospect, and, those stored memories; I suspect that is a great part of why we have memory, besides being able to retain what we learn:)))
Yes, it is time to put away the evidences of Summer, but, there is LOTS to replace them with: baseball becomes basketball, then, hockey, swimming becomes skating, or, skiing, flowers become the gorgeous array of Autumn leaves, BBQ's become trips to the Cider Mills, and, well, there are just endless BLESSINGS coming your way!!!
Anyway, HAPPY LABOR DAY! Don't view it as an end to anything! It is a beginning, actually! A beginning of challenges which will further cause you to fully appreciate the special moments, come next Spring, and, Summer, and, shape your minds, and, spirits into greatness!!!
