1/ My children, I am writing this to you so that you may not commit sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous one.
2/ He is expiation for our sins, and not for our sins only but for those of the whole world.
3/ The way we may be sure that we know him is to keep his commandments.
4/ Whoever says, "I know him," but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5/ But whoever keeps his word, the love of God is truly perfected in him. This is the way we may know that we are in union with him:
6/ whoever claims to abide in him ought to live (just) as he lived.
15/ Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16/ For all that is in the world, sensual lust, enticement for the eyes, and a pretentious life, is not from the Father but is from the world.
17/ Yet the world and its enticement are passing away. But whoever does the will of God remains forever.
18/ Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that the antichrist was coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. Thus we know this is the last hour.
19/ They went out from us, but they were not really of our number; if they had been, they would have remained with us. Their desertion shows that none of them was of our number.
20/ But you have the anointing that comes from the holy one, and you all have knowledge.
21/ I write to you not because you do not know the truth but because you do, and because every lie is alien to the truth.
What significance do these verses have, IF the Christian comm'UNITY', is busy, trying to satiate their carnal, egocentric beings, by doing things against *GOD*/CHRIST? I have had several discussions with people about whether or not, one can engage in extramarital affairs, Internet sex, porn, doing unjust things for fortune, fame, and, other such, which, CLEARLY, negates MUCH Scripture! Many of these people believe that they are NOT acting against *GOD*, when they cheat, lie, get wasted, and, other deliberate acts of the flesh; that GRACE has allowed for them to do as they wish! Yet, there is LOTS of Scripture, towards the Christian comm'UNITY', which, defines PRECISELY, our responsibility TO *GOD*/CHRIST, and, the comm'UNITY', such as, the above!!!
Verse 3 says it perfectly: The way we may be sure that we know him, is to be keep his commandments! Does this verse, to you, leave room for negotiation, for doubt, for CONSCIOUS err???
Verses 15, and, 16, speak PLAINLY what we are NOT to do, such as loving the world, for all that is in the world, sensual lust, enticement for the eyes, and, a pretentious life, is NOT from the FATHER, but, is from the world! Where is the option in these verses, which grants us the right to defy them???
The World Wide Web, has sucked in, like a black hole, billions of people, into the illicit world of sex! It is BIG money, and, TRULY HAS taken TOO many into it's allure! From Children to Elders, any walk of life, the attraction of viewing, and, sharing in illicitness, has all but devoured the senses of these people! It is really sad, because, innocent people are being lured into what is extremely dangerous for them, body, mind, and, spirit! The whole explosion of forbidden, immoral, improper bait, has ruined Marriages, people, Families, and, devotion! So many people are ADDICTED to what they have found online, and, cling to it, like they would their lives; some have gone so far as to remove all people in their lives, who are against it! It is growing like a disease, with far reaching effects, and, is sure to get worse, before it gets better! I am no prude, never have been, but, what is going on, IS beyond normal, and, IS removing souls from *GOD*, one by one, thus, it IS the work of the adversary, FOR SURE, and, so easily, has he ensnared astounding numbers of souls!!!
Sex begins, in the mind! The mind rules the emotions! You can turn off, just as readily, as you can turn on! I would have never believed this years ago, but, I learned, and, it has been proven unto me! ADDICTIONS, period, are within our control, and, sexual desire IS an addiction, if it is not controlled! Thus, we ARE to LEARN to alter the EGOCENTRIC mind/being, that, *GODLINESS* HAS the power over what we cannot control without *GODLINESS! This is WHY we are to become virtuous, moral, ethical, practical, and, remain in RIGHTEOUS character, and, behaviours! Does being over-sexed, represent CHRIST, our LORD? NO WAY!!!
Web sex is just nasty! I don't care what anyone says; it is unnatural, and, there ain't nothin' like the REAL thing! Your eyes, mind, hands, and, web cams, DON'T, and, NEVER WILL, equate TRUE LOVE, and, honest sex! Of course, lots of people who are into this lurid game, don't have any idea of what LOVE, and, REAL sex is, but, this sure as hail, ain't the way to learn, and, is going to see more, and more, people missing out on one of the most beautiful gifts of *GOD*, LOVE!!!
Anyway, Scripture CLEARLY defines what IS within our rights as people of devotion, and, what is not, and, THE WORD does NOT sway!!!
IF you LOVE *GOD*, you seek HIS WAYS, then, you THINK before you act, or, react, and, KNOW HOW TO resist what is of this world, FOR, and, TO HIS GLORY, never for the satisfaction, of self!!!
May *GOD* help us, and, BE with us, BLESSING us with more TRUTH, that, the black holes of the adversary, do not take us all!!! LOVE & PEACE & BE STRONG!!!
