We SHOULD know our limits, and, what fine lines, NOT to cross; while, seeking fun, happiness, and, enjoyment! We SHOULD know that our passions, desires, and, longings, for things, or, people, hold great danger, IF they are not tamed, or, IF they lead us away from what is *GODLY*! We SHOULD know that VIRTUES MUST RULE SUPREME, OVER all else; for instance, lust, greed, too much alcohol, excessiveness, and, other behaviours, which, can cause the righteous to backslide!!!
Many people have crossed lines, in pursuit of happiness, BECAUSE they forgot, or, ignored the fact, that, we do NOT live for the world, NOR, for self-indulgence! HOWEVER, we ARE within reason, to pursue some pleasures, and, happiness in this life, as long as, our egocentric being does NOT take over the strides we have made to becoming devout, or, righteous!!!
Enjoying life is part of living for *GOD*, as we take in HIS bountiful BLESSINGS, BUT, there NEEDS to be, conscious moderation! EXAMPLE: People can drink, 1 TIMOTHY 5:23, says, Stop drinking only water, but have a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.
*GOD* WANTS us to be HEALTHY, HAPPY, and, IN a good frame of existence, AS A PART OF DEVOTION, but, for many, this requires strong willpower, deliberation, and, discipline, as, many are NOT at the point of understanding, and so, have to hold the reins tightly, so to speak! For those who DO understand, life is a joy worth living IN, and, THROUGH HIM!!!
Fun DOES change with being devout, there is NO slighting this fact, but, that does NOT indicate that fun is a thing of the past; it only means that fun is aligned to what is righteous, wholesome, healthy, and, good!!!
*GOD* called each of us, AS IS, meaning we are to pick up where HE found us, and, go forth, only, IMPROVING the being/spirit, in the course of the days, *GOD* has allotted! We ARE as HE CREATED us, though, HOPEFULLY, growing, and, improving upon, what the world allowed us to believe we are! There is NO harm in being YOU, because *GOD* MADE YOU, FOR GREAT REASON, and, PURPOSE, though, through HIM/CHRIST JESUS, we begin to take the form of whom, we REALLY are, the heirs of the ALMIGHTY *GOD*, which means, we begin to pattern ourselves, AFTER HIS EXCELLENCY!!!
GOODNESS is the preemptive; GOODNESS of thoughts, actions, and, reactions, as, in living in such a state, KEEPS one ever growing, ever striving, ever winning the good race, and, remaining in the GRACE of *GOD*! Seems so simple...
PSALM 150...
1/ Hallelujah! Praise God in his holy sanctuary; give praise in the mighty dome of heaven.
2/ Give praise for his mighty deeds, praise him for his great majesty.
3/ Give praise with blasts upon the horn, praise him with harp and lyre.
4/ Give praise with tambourines and dance, praise him with flutes and strings.
5/ Give praise with crashing cymbals, praise him with sounding cymbals.
6/ Let everything that has breath give praise to the LORD! Hallelujah!
*GOD*, and, the Heavenly Hosts, LIKE jubilation! HE ENJOYS our enjoyment, especially, as we reflect HIM, in our enjoyment of HIM, and, this life, therefore, ENJOY life, TO, and, FOR HIS GLORY, while, PRAISING, WORSHIPPING, and, thanking HIM, endlessly!!! AMEN!!!
