THE *GODHEAD* had a plan, and so, CREATED the HEAVENS, and, the Earth, all in between, and, all surrounding! THE *GODHEAD* filled the Earth with abundances of every kind, including living things, and, then, CREATED Man! HE saw that Man was alone, and, put him to sleep, and, from his own ribs, CREATED a female, whom, the Man, called Adam, named Eve, and, the two became as one, whom THE *GODHEAD*, told them to multiply, and, be fruitful!!!
We all know the story of CREATION, and, of Mankind, but, what we do not think about, is the imperativeness of MARRIAGE, in THE DIVINE order, which, IS top of the list, right under *GOD*, because, it IS an imperative condition of, and, to DIVINE order, as it, through multiplying, and, bringing forth Families, has great purpose TO HIS DIVINE plan, for one, the building of HIS comm'UNITY', for, and, to, HIS GLORY! People, and, Families, ARE crucial towards HIS end goal, in diverse, far reaching ways, with, sound reasoning, much of which, we are not privy to, yet, are aware of!!!
GENESIS 2:23-24...
23/ the man said: "This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; This one shall be called 'woman,' for out of 'her man' this one has been taken."
24/ That is why a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife, and the two of them become one body.
GENESIS 1:28...
God blessed them, saying: "Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and all the living things that move on the earth."
Man, and, Woman, were given dominion over the Earth, and, instructed to care for it, along with all living things! They were partners, equal in stature, since the Woman was taken from Man's side, until the evil that occurred in The Garden, causing Eve to fall from Grace, although, still equal, as Man, also, bit into the forbidden fruit, making them each, as one, even in their, err!!!
The point is, Man, and, Woman, were one being, after coming together, thus, they were bound in MARRIAGE, TO be fruitful, and, to multiply, WHILE, remaining together, for, they are ONE!!!
Now, since the earliest civilizations, Marriage has been defiled, broken, and, regarded with much less solemnity, than *GOD* intends! It got so bad, that Moses was allowed to decree Divorce, in certain instances, albeit, AGAINST *GOD'S* favour, yet, HE became lenient in this matter! THE *GODHEAD* HATES DIVORCE, and, the breaking of VOWS, as, both are to be taken with purpose, respect, regard, and, honour, as, both are testified, and, witnessed to, BY *GOD* HIMSELF!!!
CHRIST JESUS, in HIS most famous Sermon, on The Mount, condemned Divorce, sternly, because Marriage is instituted BY *GOD*, and, what *GOD* has brought together, let no Man put asunder(separate)MATTHEW 19:6! Now, let's look to MALACHI 2:14-16...
14/ And you say, "Why is it?"-- Because the LORD is witness between you and the wife of your youth, With whom you have broken faith though she is your companion, your betrothed wife.
15/ Did he not make one being, with flesh and spirit: and what does that one require but godly offspring? You must then safeguard life that is your own, and not break faith with the wife of your youth.
16/ For I hate divorce, says the LORD, the God of Israel, And covering one's garment with injustice, says the LORD of hosts; You must then safeguard life that is your own, and not break faith.
Divorce is rampant in this world, and, it IS affecting future generations, in many ways, besides, creating disruption, in many areas of life, and, leading people to err, in ways they might not have, had they honoured THE LORD, and, their vows! Think this is strict, or heavy? IT IS, and, for SOUNDLY GOOD reasons, FOUNDED on *GOD*, and, *GODLINESS*! We MUST realize that ALL err, and, problems, rest upon the thoughts, actions, and, reactions of UN*GODLINESS*!!!
At any rate, it is what it is, HOWEVER, it CAN be corrected, at least, for future generations! We CAN learn from our own, and, other people's mistakes, and, mostly, from THE WORD, just HOW we are to live!!!
Now, we turn to VOWS, which are, a solemn promise, pledge, commitment, or, oath; a solemn, and/or, earnest declaration! Vows between Man, and, Woman, and, between a person, and, *GOD*, ARE serious, and so, SHOULD be considered, fully, BEFORE making them! Most of us, Marry way too young, or, too uninformed, to understand the critical formality of uttering a vow! It IS a binding obligation, which, requires, not only fulfillment in entirety, but, effort to maintain it's sincerity! There are LOTS of references to vow in THE WORD, and, many of these, are directed TO MARRIAGE!!!
The Family IS important to *GOD*, and, SHOULD remain intact, for the duration of a lifetime! Each week, we are going to present BIBLICAL instructions, as well as, common issues with Marriage, and, Families, from psychological analysis/determinations, sociological studies/perspecitives, common sense, practical advices, and, the lessons of experience, because Marriage, and, Family ARE worth fighting for, and, understanding, while, creating healthy, LOVING, faithful, longlasting, conditions in the process of maintaining them!!!
