THE TRAP OF THE TONGUE...

No matter what is going on around you, or, with you, IF you react with anger, fear, or, any negative reaction, you are not living in a temperament desired by *GOD*!!!

Anger, and, fear, are considered sinful, because they lead us DOWNWARD, into the cause, and, effects of their negative nature! We are to take the HIGH road; to remain CONSCIOUS of *GOD*, AS we react! As soon as something happens which causes you to react, negatively, those reactions are lowering your spiritual self, to the natural self, that self which is WAY BENEATH what is considered *GODLY*/spiritual...

IN *GOD* we, are to, live in the spiritual plane, KNOWING, that the natural plane IS plagued with negativity, and, that we are NOT subjected to it, unless, we allow ourselves to be! When we get angry, we become subject to reacting less than righteously, especially, with our mouth, which is the easiest way to sin that there is, as our tongue moves faster than our brain, IF we do not have power over it, by reacting negatively; that which we should, instantly, pray for, and, seek other positives, associated with being devout! See what this means? Like, if someone hurts you, you, in the human plane, will retort off the tip of your tongue, but, in the spiritual plane, you would say, "GOD" BLESS you", pray, and, like it, or, not, forgive! DEFINITELY, NOT the easiest thing for emotional, egocentric people, to develop, but, *GOD* says it is how, it is to be, and, everything HE says is PROVEN, therefore, as we grow into, the spiritual plane, we must always, be developing our character, to withstanding the, obscurely, placed intentions of the deceiver, that we do not slip up, without thinking first...

PSALMS 39:2-3...
2/ I said, "I will watch my ways, lest I sin with my tongue; I will set a curb on my mouth."
3/ Dumb and silent before the wicked, I refrained from any speech.

JAMES 1:25-26...
25/ But the one who peers into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres, and is not a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, such a one shall be blessed in what he does.
26/ If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue 14 but deceives his heart, his religion is vain.

JAMES 3:5-10...
5/ In the same way the tongue is a small member and yet has great pretensions. Consider how small a fire can set a huge forest ablaze.
6/ The tongue is also a fire. It exists among our members as a world of malice, defiling the whole body and setting the entire course of our lives on fire, itself set on fire by Gehenna.
7/ For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by the human species,
8/ but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
9/ With it we bless the Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings who are made in the likeness of God.
10/ From the same mouth come blessing and cursing.

1 PETER 3:9-11...
9/ Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but, on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit a blessing.
10/ For: "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep the tongue from evil and the lips from speaking deceit,
11/ must turn from evil and do good, seek peace and follow after it.

Ah, there are more examples of the dangers of the tongue, but, this should arouse some thought!!!

KEY to overcoming, IS UNDERSTANDING, then, APPLYING, to your life, taking care to let it sink into the depths of the heart, which *GOD* IS scrutinizing! We must repent when we falter, then, TRY more, diligently, to CORRECT what is leading us to falter, and, surely, the tongue IS going to be a problem, for we are so free with it!!!

As was written in JAMES, no human can tame the tongue, HOWEVER, EFFORT is pertinent! We mustn't ever say that we won't try, just because it seems improbable, for WITH *GOD*, ALL IS POSSIBLE! Never forget this! HE KNOWS what we are, and, what we are up against, and, in HIS LOVE of us, all HE asks, is that, TO THE BEST OF OUR ABILITY, we LEARN, THEN, APPLY HIS INSTRUCTIONS TO OUR LIVES, that we ARE, by effort, LIVING IN HIS PRECEPTS, HIS LAWS, HIS STATUTES, HIS WORD! So, diligent dedication to PERFECTING the spirit is key, even if, we are never going to be as HE, we will be SHOWN to have enough LOVE, RESPECT, and, REGARD, by HONOURING HIM, enough, to, at least, become the best we can be, via, HIS WORD, HIS WILL, HIS WAYS! So, don't ever allow that which leads to sin, remain as a conditioned normal for you, because, while we might never reach the status we want, we have SHOWN ourselves to be worthy, BY attempting to be!!!

Bridle that tongue; it is, potentially, dangerous, and, so easy to forget about! Keep your heart, thoughts, and, spirit, IN the WORD, that, understanding, thus, ability, can set you free, from the immense, and, intense, traps, that evil has set before you, and, pray, pray for strength, guidance, direction, and, protection, then, thank, and, PRAISE *GOD*, who HAS set before you, all possible escapes to what is in your way!!!
