We seek to be happy, even in our walk with *GOD*, our CREATOR, the ALL KNOWING, ALL POWERFUL, eternal SPIRIT of LOVE, TRUTH, and, JUSTICE! We NEED to be happy in this life, but, it would appear that to walk with *GOD* in this life, happiness is the least of our worries! NOT SO! The closer you walk with *GOD*, the more happy you become, without having to seek, or, pursue it, BECAUSE, HE unleashes MANY BLESSINGS, and, gifts into your life, plus, because you have FAITH, you should have PEACE, for you KNOW that HE has ALL control, and, provision for you, and, for your life!!!I realize that I speak often of the EFFORT you must apply to your walk with *GOD*, but, that effort need NOT make you weary; in fact, if it does, something is amiss, as a walk with *GOD*, and, learning HIS WAYS, is excitingly fascinating, and, inspiring!!!
The reason I stress the need for effort is simple, you NEED to KNOW about *GOD*, HIS WILL, HIS WAYS, HIS WORD, and, HIS WORLD that YOU ARE EMPOWERED, READILY THROUGH KNOWLEDGE!!!
Once you HAVE sufficient knowledge, and, Wisdom to secure your relationship with HIM, your life becomes so much better than it was before, in SO MANY ways! HE, because you have believed in HIM, trusted HIM, and, have returned to HIM, GIVES you what you need, seen, or, not, felt, or, not! It IS HIS greatest wish to see HIS Children happy, and, abundantly endowed, but, as with any parent, there are stipulations to HIS gifts, which should NOT be a problem, because if you LOVE HIM, you want to please HIM, and, to GLORIFY HIM, which, in ANY instance, would require effort!!!
We should be happy enough, by the moment, every moment, to exalt, extol, PRAISE, and, WORSHIP HIS name, in rejoicing, and, heartfelt appreciation! We should be able to, freely, and, uninhibited, to proclaim HIS name, all through the hours of this day, for, surely, this day HAS been given to us BY HIM, not to mention the endless bounties, and, MERCIFUL, and, GRACIOUS BLESSINGS which accompany the seconds of this day! It is not unusual for me to proclaim HIS name, and, to give thanks, regardless of where I am, well, within reason of course, and, in that case, if I can't speak it, I think it!!!
HE KNOWS life is short, so, HE DOES want us to enjoy this life; HE just doesn't want us to enjoy this life in the ways of the world, for they are NOT HIS WAYS! Many people THINK that since HE CREATED this world, that the world has much to offer, via HIM, but, TRUTH says that what the world has to offer is from the enemy, that we are sucked in, to lose our inheritance of the MOST HIGH! You CAN enjoy the world IF HE is the primary thought of your every thought, action, and, reaction, that HE IS BUILT INTO YOUR CHARACTER securely enough, that the deceiver CANNOT deceive you into any form of sin, for *GOD* is as your breath! This does not mean you have to live as a monk, NO WAY! You merely become AS *GOD*, GOOD, WHOLESOME, CLEAN, DIGNIFIED, RIGHTEOUS, LOVING, and, VIRTUOUS enough to withstand the opposition of HIS WAYS!!!
HE has said, "Be HOLY because I am HOLY." This means we are to pattern our lives after HIS example! You don't think that HE has enjoyment? Surely HE must! When a soul returns to HIM, even the Angels on HIGH celebrate in a large way! Also, there are MUST be endless things to entertain HIM, just look around! I cannot say explicitly, WHAT HIS enjoyment might entail, NOR, WHERE it comes from, but, just from being close to HIM by WORD, and, nature, I truly, believe that HE enjoys!!
Human nature has a tendency to lean to the far right, or, the far left, without consideration of the many degrees in between those extremes! We think that we have to go overboard in order to be what we seek, but, balance is very much a part of *GOD*, and, HIS PERFECT plan! As you grow into HIM, you will find this to be very true, and, very relieving! We are required to be the BEST we can muster, but, we can enjoy life too!!!
HE speaks of moderation; HE told people to drink wine, but, not to get drunk, for in drunkenness, there is danger; danger of debauchery, and, that which leads one to sin! I know you know that this is accurate, for most of us HAVE been drunk before, and, KNOW what happens in that state! Also, in a state where you are out of control, you are no longer in a *GODLY* state, which means, instead of exhibiting strength, your weakness of flesh is ruling, and thus, you are removed from HIM, not necessarily by choice, but, by the state of your thoughts, actions, and, reactions! Know what I mean???
Be ever vigilant, for the deceiver has intentions to sway your stance from *GOD* to him, and, in reality, for the human condition, the human egocentric being, that doesn't take a lot to do!!!
It comes down to seeking lasting pleasure/happiness of the spiritual plane, or, the corruptible, temporary enjoyment of the natural plane; your choice, but, be wise in your choices, as some are detrimental to eternity...
