Praise for Deliverance from Troubles
A Psalm of David, when he changed his behavior before Abim'elech; who drove him away, and he departed.
1 I will bless the LORD at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD:
the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3 O magnify the LORD with me,
and let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me,
and delivered me from all my fears.
5 They looked unto him, and were lightened:
and their faces were not ashamed.
6 This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him,
and saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him,
and delivereth them.
8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: 1 Pet. 2.3
blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
9 O fear the LORD, ye his saints:
for there is no want to them that fear him.
10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger:
but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.
11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me:
I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 What man is he that desireth life,
and loveth many days, that he may see good?
13 Keep thy tongue from evil,
and thy lips from speaking guile.
14 Depart from evil, and do good;
seek peace, and pursue it.
15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous,
and his ears are open unto their cry.
16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, 1 Pet. 3.10-12
to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth,
and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart;
and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous:
but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20 He keepeth all his bones:
not one of them is broken. Ex. 12.46 · Num. 9.12 · Joh. 19.36
21 Evil shall slay the wicked:
and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
22 The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants:
and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
This is a very IMPORTANT Psalm, as it clearly reveals that those who LOVE, TRUST, and, have FAITH in *GOD*, CAN be hopeful for all good things, for HIS promise is to care for those who turn to HIM. Also, this Psalm should be great reference for times of trouble, for herein, there lies the strength of HIS promises, such as they cried unto HIM, and, because they were FAITHFUL, HE heard them, and, provided for them, in all ways, including redeeming their souls, which the world would have ruined, and, taken down into the pit with it...
Too, within this Psalm is clear instruction for becoming one with HIM, indicating that we should Praise HIM, exalt HIS name, fear HIM, trust HIM, and, seek HIM for all of our worldly woes, as well as that we should be wise, keep our mouths clean from distasteful use, be humble in HIS sight, and revere HIM at all times! So, you see, there is MUCH information in this one short Psalm, which, if embraced, opens up to more favor from the LORD *GOD*, for HE so LOVES HIS righteous people!!!
These passages convey what it means to refer to HIM as a rock, for so solid are HIS promises, that you can place your life entirely in HIS hands with full confidence of HIS support for you, and, your life, and, is a great example of HIM being a fortress, for infinite are HIS gifts to the FAITHFUL, endless are the tools HE supplies, and, evermore are the blessings within HIM!!!
Many ARE the afflictions of the righteous, but HE, *GOD* WILL deliver them from it all, because, they exist in HIS every WORD, with a FAITHFUL being, and, with a hopeful spirit full of the PEACE which comes from KNOWING that HE DOES have our back! It is so wonderful to see the ways to HIM, visible for the understanding, for the seeing, for those who are WILLING to receive! How perfect is HIS genius that HE compiled a manual for us to find ways to survive in this chaotic world? It thrills me, fascinates me, and, keeps me ever seeking more that I am enabled further in my walk with HIM!!!
PRAISE *GOD*, our LORD, continually, let thanks, and, gratitude be as your breath, and, let FAITHFUL trust be your course of action, that PEACE is your every step, as you journey this time called life, KNOWING that HE will provide for you in EVERY single instance, with a LOVE for you which is unrelenting, unstoppable, incorruptible, forevermore! AMEN!!! Hallelujah, Alleluia, PRAISE the *GOD* of LOVE!!!
