There are Christian Churches that have left TRUTH for human perception, and for what is trendy, mostly based upon the urge to take things into our own hands, and reassess THE WORD OF *GOD*, and HIS WILL! People divert from that which calls for discipline, diligence, and obedience, convincing themselves that as long as they believe in CHRIST JESUS, they are good to go; and so, the lessons, and mandates OF THE LORD get twisted, contorted, and bent to appease the human being, while the spiritual being is pushed deeper down, though at one time, it was emerging! There are all sorts of teachings popularized by the inability to CONTROL the carnal which SEEMS to be whom we are, but which, IN CHRIST JESUS is NOT!!!
TOO many of us want to be cool, and to be accepted by the world DESPITE being told BY THE LORD, that we would NOT be, as neither was HE! We are taught that the world will hate us, as it hated HIM, and while that puts things in a different perspective, it isn't as bad as it may sound, at least in the context of BEING, and DOING what HE desires of us! WHEN we are existing IN HIM, we are FULFILLED enough to deal with all else, and HAPPY enough in the knowledge that HE IS SUFFICIENT! See???
ALL which is HOLY IS opposite to what is not, thus, of course, there will be MANY taunting us, and trying to bring us down! We will NEVER be as HOLY as we strive to be in this realm, for HE IS WORKING on us in the now, even if we aren't aware, STILL, we ARE different from the rest of the world IN THAT we WORSHIP THE LORD *GOD* ALMIGHTY, and FOLLOW HIM until we reach our predestined HOME that is WAITING for us!!!
Like certain leaders of THE CHURCH are saying, it IS time to exhibit BOLD FAITH, and FAITHFULNESS; FOR the purpose OF HIM SHINING in the darkness THROUGH us, HIS people! It IS time to BE as a LIGHT for others, and to INSPIRE them even if we speak not a word to them, or with them! IT IS TIME TO REFLECT CHRIST JESUS, our LORD *GOD*, and SAVIOUR IN EVERY feasible way THAT others are inclined to pause, and ponder!!!
TRUTH depicts that we BE SEPARATE from the world, and while this seems difficult to imagine, let alone exist in, we CAN, and SHOULD, and IF we were taught right, there would be no need for such discussions! We CANNOT exist both in THE LORD, and the world; at least not in the ways we THINK we can; such as ignoring what is wrong, and even partaking in it for the sake of acceptance, or camaraderie with those who are NOT OF HIM! You see, a RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM HAS HIGH STANDARDS, and IS WORTHY of our compliance, and engaging IN HIS WILL, and WAYS! We ARE PARTNERS IN A COVENANT, which implies dual responsibilities, duties, and other combined efforts!!!
Complacency, and other worldly mindsets should be dealt with, as such sees us accepting what is NOT OF HIM, nor acceptable TO HIM! We HAVE gone FAR from basics, and HAVE skewered TRUTH TO allow for that which HE DOES NOT! It IS hard to put ourselves into a stricter, more acknowledging place instead of going with the flow of the world, but we MUST because we are NOT OF the world, we ARE OF *GOD*, and therefore, SHOULD be distinguished, and noble as is possible FOUNDED ON HIM, HIS WILL, and HIS WAYS! CHRIST JESUS WAS DIGNIFIED, DISTINCT, and DELIBERATELY SERVED both THE FATHER, and the people HE CAME TO SAVE!!!
*GOD* IS ANGRY; this I believe, and this I SEE in the MANY, and endless plights we have endured in the past decade, which IS getting more intense all the while! We have natural disasters back to back; storms like from hell, again, back to back; wildfires burning all over the place; famine, poverty, homelessness, diseases, plagues, viruses, pestilence, madness, and well, the list IS EXTENSIVE, and gaining on us every single day! WHY is HE angry? Because SO many HAVE gone astray, or wandered, or have decided to run with the world, along with abominations of almost every kind, disregard for human life, disrespect, and an ocean of wrong minded ways, and actions! HE HAS told us what HE requires, and HOW we should exist IF we are ONE WITH HIM; HE HAS ALSO told us the CONSEQUENCES of when we don't! The world IS pushing a VERY wrong agenda; one which includes MOST of what IS AGAINST THE LORD *GOD*, AND MANY people of the world HAVE decided that *GOD* does not exist, SO, in HIS WRATH comes to remind some, and to awaken others!!!
26+++“See, I am placing before you today a blessing and a curse:
27+++the blessing, if you listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, which I am commanding you today;
28+++and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I am commanding you today, by following other gods which you have not known.
Moses sums up all the arguments for obedience in two words, the blessing and the curse. He charged the people to choose which they would have. Moses then appointed a public and solemn proclamation of the blessing and curse, to be made upon the two mountains of Gerizim and Ebal. We have broken the law, and are under its curse, without remedy from ourselves. In mercy, the gospel again sets before us a blessing and a curse. A blessing, if we obey the call to repentance, to faith in Christ, and newness of heart and life through him; an awful curse, if we neglect so great salvation. Let us thankfully welcome these glad tidings of great joy; and let us not harden our hearts, but hear this voice of God while it is called to-day, and while he invites us to come to him upon a mercy-seat. Let us be diligent to make our calling and election sure.
As we read DEUTERONOMY 10 and 11, we are reminded of the POWERS OF THE LORD *GOD* ALMIGHTY, along with HIS LOVE, in which there IS DISCIPLINE and CONSEQUENCE for those who go astray, are disobedient, and otherwise disregard HIM...
EPHESIANS 4: 17-19...
17+++So I say this, and affirm in the Lord, that you are to no longer walk just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their minds,
18+++being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;
19+++and they, having become callous, have given themselves up to indecent behavior for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.
The apostle charged the Ephesians in the name and by the authority of the Lord Jesus, that having professed the gospel, they should not be as the unconverted Gentiles, who walked in vain fancies and carnal affections. Do not men, on every side, walk in the vanity of their minds? Must not we then urge the distinction between real and nominal Christians? They were void of all saving knowledge; they sat in darkness, and loved it rather than light. They had a dislike and hatred to a life of holiness, which is not only the way of life God requires and approves, and by which we live to him, but which has some likeness to God himself in his purity, righteousness, truth, and goodness.
The truth of Christ appears in its beauty and power, when it appears as in Jesus. The corrupt nature is called a man; like the human body, it is of divers parts, supporting and strengthening one another. Sinful desires are deceitful lusts; they promise men happiness, but render them more miserable; and bring them to destruction, if not subdued and mortified. These therefore must be put off, as an old garment, a filthy garment; they must be subdued and mortified. But it is not enough to shake off corrupt principles; we must have gracious ones. By the new man, is meant the new nature, the new creature, directed by a new principle, even regenerating grace, enabling a man to lead a new life of righteousness and holiness. This is created, or brought forth by God's almighty power.
IF we are OF CHRIST JESUS, THE LORD *GOD*, we are NOT OF the world, YET, we seemingly, ALLOW the world to lead us astray, FAR from TRUTH, and HIS SAVING GRACE! In these volatile, unpredictable, unprecedented days, evil IS in full view, and in do or die force, THEREFORE, IT IS TIME to BE as HIS Children, and WALK THE TALK, and STAND IN HIM!!!
We can be glad that HE IS ON HIS WAY, still, it is devastating as TOO MANY ARE being led right to the slippery slope where there is no longer HOPE, and it IS part of OUR work TO snatch souls from the fire, as we INSPIRE as REFLECTIONS OF HIM; this in mind, body, and spirit, THAT others SEE HIM even if they don't quite yet recognize HIM! The days ARE growing darker; wickedness IS increasing; *GOD* IS NEAR; and we HAVE DUTIES TO FULFILL IN HIS NAME, FOR HIS GLORY, and the good of souls!!!
