Humans EVER separate themselves from THE LORD *GOD* ALMIGHTY, and REFUSE to acknowledge their ways! In doing so, our ONE help is distanced, which leaves us endangered, and in dire NEED of a SAVIOUR! ALL humans have need of THE SAVIOUR, THE LORD *GOD*, still they imagine, and pretend that they've 'got this', AS IF! Evil is only eradicated by righteousness, by goodness, by what is moral, right, and just...
In these turbulent, and uncertain days, we DO see and feel the consequences of the majority whom defy, or deny THE LORD *GOD*, and HIS SOUND WILL for our existence! EVERY negative HAS been unleashed, and is dominant in the hours of time: aggression, hostility, animosity, violence, immorality, self-inclination, hatred, and on the delusion goes! Tension, anxiety, and discord are ever present, and people are snapping all over the globe! WHY? BECAUSE few recognize the separation from THE LORD *GOD*, and will not acknowledge how they have erred, or contributed to the overall wickedness in this world...
KNOWING there are few whom 'see' TRUTH for what it is, and it's benevolence, *GOD* has given us CHRIST JESUS, our SAVIOUR to lead us past ourselves, and the evil world, but too many lack in knowledge, thus understanding, of what this means, and what our part is! These see no need to grow, or improve upon themselves, nor to exist in wholesome goodness, LOVE, and peace; instead, they HOPE but do nothing, or little to secure that HOPE! They want, but they give nothing! They assume but they do not enjoin!!!
People have turned from *GOD* because they anticipate a 'genie', or a granter of wishes, instead of a RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FATHER OF ALL, and EVERYTHING! They PRAY dishonestly, and become angry when their PRAYERS are left unanswered! They EXPECT miracles while doing nothing to invoke them! They think, say, and do things TOTALLY unaligned with THE HOLY LORD *GOD*, yet, they insist upon being gratified, and taken care of! Yah, same old song and dance, thus, same old woes, and worries!!!
*GOD* HAS TOLD us what HE expects from us, which is NOT repayment for HIS LOVE, or SALVATION, instead it is PROOF of HIM IN us! HE HAS instructed us thoroughly, still we pretend as if we don't know right from wrong, or good from bad! WHEN the people create distance between themselves and THE LORD, WHAT IS HE TO DO? HE WILLS that ALL turn to HIM, and be SAVED, but those who persist in evil, and self, HAVE used their free will to the point of HIM standing afar, and HIS WRATH being stoked! STILL, HE WILL forgive ANYONE who comes to the realization of HIS MIGHTY POWER OVER ALL AND EVERYTHING, but ONLY if this is sincere, honest, and acted upon in FAITH, and FAITHFULNESS! HE DEMANDS FIDELITY, and truth of heart! And no one has any cause to blame HIM for our continued troubles, which will worsen as more head away from HIM!!!
AS MUCH as we need the breath HE GAVE us, we NEED HIM! There is NOTHING without HIM, save for illusion, delusion, confusion, and subjugation! The world's ways ARE false, they are lies, they are enticements TO lead us far from THE LORD *GOD*, LOVE, and TRUTH, BECAUSE Satan ain't goin' down without taking as many souls as he can, for he INSISTS that we are NOT worthy, NOR able to resist the DECEPTIVE web he has spun for one and all! WHY CAN'T more 'see', and 'hear', and 'heed???
We have but a SHORT span of time TO use our free will FOR THE GLORY OF *GOD*, the good of others (this includes even for one's country), and the eternal good of our souls! Right now, we HAVE the choice, and the opportunity; we know NOT what the next moment will bring, and so, I URGE EVERYONE to THINK, and CONSIDER *GOD*, HIS LOVE, HIS WILL, HIS TRUTH, and HIS WAYS!!!
The times ARE turbulent, which IS going to end badly for TOO many, UNLESS there IS a change of heart, mind, and spirit...
1+++Behold, the LORD’S hand is not so short
That it cannot save;
Nor is His ear so dull
That it cannot hear.
2+++But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God,
And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.
3+++For your hands are defiled with blood
And your fingers with iniquity;
Your lips have spoken falsehood,
Your tongue mutters wickedness.
4+++No one sues righteously and no one pleads honestly.
They trust in confusion and speak lies;
They conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity.
5+++They hatch adders’ eggs and weave the spider’s web;
He who eats of their eggs dies,
And from that which is crushed a snake breaks forth.
6+++Their webs will not become clothing,
Nor will they cover themselves with their works;
Their works are works of iniquity,
And an act of violence is in their hands.
7+++Their feet run to evil,
And they hasten to shed innocent blood;
Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity,
Devastation and destruction are in their highways.
8+++They do not know the way of peace,
And there is no justice in their tracks;
They have made their paths crooked,
Whoever treads on them does not know peace.
9+++Therefore justice is far from us,
And righteousness does not overtake us;
We hope for light, but behold, darkness,
For brightness, but we walk in gloom.
10+++We grope along the wall like blind men,
We grope like those who have no eyes;
We stumble at midday as in the twilight,
Among those who are vigorous we are like dead men.
11+++All of us growl like bears,
And moan sadly like doves;
We hope for justice, but there is none,
For salvation, but it is far from us.
12+++For our transgressions are multiplied before You,
And our sins testify against us;
For our transgressions are with us,
And we know our iniquities:
13+++Transgressing and denying the LORD,
And turning away from our God,
Speaking oppression and revolt,
Conceiving in and uttering from the heart lying words.
14+++Justice is turned back,
And righteousness stands far away;
For truth has stumbled in the street,
And uprightness cannot enter.
15+++Yes, truth is lacking;
And he who turns aside from evil makes himself a prey.
Now the LORD saw,
And it was displeasing in His sight that there was no justice.
16+++And He saw that there was no man,
And was astonished that there was no one to intercede;
Then His own arm brought salvation to Him,
And His righteousness upheld Him.
17+++He put on righteousness like a breastplate,
And a helmet of salvation on His head;
And He put on garments of vengeance for clothing
And wrapped Himself with zeal as a mantle.
18+++According to their deeds, so He will repay,
Wrath to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies;
To the coastlands He will make recompense.
19+++So they will fear the name of the LORD from the west
And His glory from the rising of the sun,
For He will come like a rushing stream
Which the wind of the LORD drives.
20+++“A Redeemer will come to Zion,
And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares the LORD.
21+++“As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.”
If our prayers are not answered, and the salvation we wait for is not wrought for us, it is not because God is weary of hearing prayer, but because we are weary of praying. See here sin in true colours, exceedingly sinful; and see sin in its consequences, exceedingly hurtful, separating from God, and so separating us, not only from all good, but to all evil. Yet numbers feed, to their own destruction, on infidel and wicked systems. Nor can their skill or craft, in devising schemes, as the spider weaves its web, deliver or save them. No schemes of self-wrought salvation shall avail those who despise the Redeemer's robe of righteousness. Every man who is destitute of the Spirit of Christ, runs swiftly to evil of some sort; but those regardless of Divine truth and justice, are strangers to peace.
If we shut our eyes against the light of Divine truth, it is just with God to hide from our eyes the things that belong to our peace. The sins of those who profess themselves God's people, are worse than the sins of others. And the sins of a nation bring public judgments, when not restrained by public justice. Men may murmur under calamities, but nothing will truly profit while they reject Christ and his gospel.
This passage is connected with the following chapters. It is generally thought to describe the coming of the Messiah, as the Avenger and Deliverer of his church. There was none to intercede with God to turn away his wrath; none to interpose for the support of justice and truth. Yet He engaged his own strength and righteousness for his people. God will make his justice upon the enemies of his church and people plainly appear. When the enemy threatens to bear down all without control, then the Spirit of the Lord shall stop him, put him to flight. He that has delivered, will still deliver. A far more glorious salvation is promised to be wrought out by the Messiah in the fullness of time, which all the prophets had in view. The Son of God shall come to us to be our Redeemer; the Spirit of God shall come to be our Sanctifier: thus the Comforter shall abide with the church for ever, John 14:16.
The word of Christ will always continue in the mouths of the faithful; and whatever is pretended to be the mind of the Spirit, must be tried by the Scriptures. We must lament the progress of infidelity and impiety. But the cause of the Redeemer shall gain a complete victory even on earth, and the believer will be more than conqueror when the Lord receives him to his glory in heaven.
