There are some whom have been taken over, without even knowing it, but it is visible in various ways, though unsuspected by them, or those close to them. Yah, and it is spreading like an inferno throughout the lands of the Earth! WHY? Because the self rules, and *GOD* is forgotten, denied, defied, and worse! And many have relaxed their grip of holding onto HIM!!!
The LEAST turning away from THE LORD *GOD*, and devotion INVITES the enemy(ies) to do their thing, and opens the endless doors which lead to err, all the way through to even apostasy! FAITH IS FAITHFULNESS to THE LORD; it involves fidelity, a humbling of the self, respect and regard for HIM, HIS WILL, HIS WAYS, and our soul, just to mention some of the aspects of the devout! It IS a walking away from the carnal, and adapting to what is spiritual; not part time, nor in part, but as fully as is feasible, despite our struggles with the flesh, as we RELY ON, and WAIT ON THE LORD to RENDER us WHOLE, and HOLY; in other words, we are COOPERATIVE WITH the PROCESS, and look UPWARD, and FORWARD, NOT to the world, and it's ways...
In favour OF the self, many HAVE ignored, or denied their PARTNERSHIP TO THE COVENANT, and their duties therein! Intent has focused on what is worldly, instead of CHRIST JESUS, or TRUTH! Some grew weary, some were enticed, some were incomplete in knowledge, and understanding, some just decided that now is more important than later, some rely on absolution by a Priest, and in all of this, some have a foolish over-confidence that they CAN exist both in the world, and IN *GOD*!!!
I have witnessed some being changed, or overtaken! They have been fooled; they have bitten into the lies; they have been consumed by what is carnal, and all the while ARE drifting farther from TRUTH, *GOD*, LOVE, and RIGHTEOUSNESS; even some who were, a short while ago, on the right track, and existing according to what is good, right, and just! Their entire personalities have been altered. The enemy IS working overtime, and extremely cunningly among us; using every ploy feasible, including advancements, technologies, and people to distract, delude, confuse, and sway, AND few even take notice as they are too BUSILY wrapped up in the world, instead of IN THE LORD! One evil person CAN taint a whole group of others, believe it, and especially where there is little actual knowledge, or understanding OF our *GOD*!!!
Christians ARE to be set apart from the world, and to exist IN THE LORD and HIS WILL, in the best of their capacities, and understanding, which SHOULD increase always, and as we TRUST HIM to complete HIS WORKS in us! Backsliding IS something we SHOULD understand and know about, because the ways, and things of the world, DO cause it! At this very hour, there IS a unique evil working through things that people love MORE than *GOD*, and by now, CAN'T quite put down, or away, BECAUSE they THINK these things ARE acceptable, and do NOT see ANY dangers in, and most would fight to the death to retain!!!
I AM WORRIED for everyone, well, for souls! It is crazy that few realize THE TRUTH of their reality, which IS that we ARE SPIRITUAL beings, NOT of the flesh! The flesh dies, the soul IS eternal, and it WILL be placed either IN THE KINGDOM, or in the eternal bowels of fire! WHY would one deny their soul in favour of this time, and things? Yah, I know, it is now common to decry what many call a fairytale, and to deny the existence of *GOD*, HOWEVER, this should NOT be affecting HIS people, but if it is, well, they have been proven, and their souls will pay the price of their carnality!!!
ROMANS 12: 2...
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.
The apostle having closed the part of his epistle wherein he argues and proves various doctrines which are practically applied, here urges important duties from gospel principles. He entreated the Romans, as his brethren in Christ, by the mercies of God, to present their bodies as a living sacrifice to Him. This is a powerful appeal. We receive from the Lord every day the fruits of his mercy. Let us render ourselves; all we are, all we have, all we can do: and after all, what return is it for such very rich receivings? It is acceptable to God: a reasonable service, which we are able and ready to give a reason for, and which we understand. Conversion and sanctification are the renewing of the mind; a change, not of the substance, but of the qualities of the soul. The progress of sanctification, dying to sin more and more, and living to righteousness more and more, is the carrying on this renewing work, till it is perfected in glory.
The great enemy to this renewal is, conformity to this world. Take heed of forming plans for happiness, as though it lay in the things of this world, which soon pass away. Do not fall in with the customs of those who walk in the lusts of the flesh, and mind earthly things.
The work of the Holy Ghost first begins in the understanding, and is carried on to the will, affections, and conversation, till there is a change of the whole man into the likeness of God, in knowledge, righteousness, and true holiness. Thus, to be godly, is to give up ourselves to God.
1 PETER 2: 9-10...
9+++But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
10+++Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
All true believers are a holy priesthood; sacred to God, serviceable to others, endowed with heavenly gifts and graces. But the most spiritual sacrifices of the best in prayer and praise are not acceptable, except through Jesus Christ. Christ is the chief Corner-stone, that unites the whole number of believers into one everlasting temple, and bears the weight of the whole fabric. Elected, or chosen, for a foundation that is everlasting. Precious beyond compare, by all that can give worth.
To be built on Christ means, to believe in him; but in this many deceive themselves, they consider not what it is, nor the necessity of it, to partake of the salvation he has wrought. Though the frame of the world were falling to pieces, that man who is built on this foundation may hear it without fear. He shall not be confounded.
The believing soul makes haste to Christ, but it never finds cause to hasten from him. All true Christians are a chosen generation; they make one family, a people distinct from the world: of another spirit, principle, and practice; which they could never be, if they were not chosen in Christ to be such, and sanctified by his Spirit. Their first state is a state of gross darkness, but they are called out of darkness into a state of joy, pleasure, and prosperity; that they should show forth the praises of the Lord by their profession of his truth, and their good conduct.
How vast their obligations to Him who has made them his people, and has shown mercy to them! To be without this mercy is a woeful state, though a man have all worldly enjoyments. And there is nothing that so kindly works repentance, as right thoughts of the mercy and love of God. Let us not dare to abuse and affront the free grace of God, if we mean to be saved by it; but let all who would be found among those who obtain mercy, walk as his people.
EPHESIANS 5: 8...
For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light,
Filthy lusts must be rooted out. These sins must be dreaded and detested. Here are not only cautions against gross acts of sin, but against what some may make light of. But these things are so far from being profitable, that they pollute and poison the hearers. Our cheerfulness should show itself as becomes Christians, in what may tend to God's glory.
A covetous man makes a god of his money; places that hope, confidence, and delight, in worldly good, which should be in God only. Those who allow themselves, either in the lusts of the flesh or the love of the world, belong not to the kingdom of grace, nor shall they come to the kingdom of glory.
When the vilest transgressors repent and believe the gospel, they become children of obedience, from whom God's wrath is turned away. Dare we make light of that which brings down the wrath of God? Sinners, like men in the dark, are going they know not whither, and doing they know not what. But the grace of God wrought a mighty change in the souls of many. Walk as children of light, as having knowledge and holiness. These works of darkness are unfruitful, whatever profit they may boast; for they end in the destruction of the impenitent sinner.
There are many ways of abetting, or taking part in the sins of others; by commendation, counsel, consent, or concealment. And if we share with others in their sins, we must expect to share in their plagues. If we do not reprove the sins of others, we have fellowship with them.
A good man will be ashamed to speak of what many wicked men are not ashamed to do. We must have not only a sight and a knowledge that sin is sin, and in some measure shameful, but see it as a breach of God's holy law. After the example of prophets and apostles, we should call on those asleep and dead in sin, to awake and arise, that Christ may give them light.
IS there ANY understanding of the PRIVILEGE OF BEING ONE OF HIS CHOSEN? I wonder! Thanks to the evil of this world, this PRIVILEGE is OFTEN taken as drudgery, as hard labor, AND it is attacked BECAUSE it means we won't be satiating the flesh, which obviously, is suspicious to those who adore their worldly lives!!!
IN LOVE, *GOD* MADE A WAY THROUGH the darkness, and eternal death FOR the sake of our TRUTH, the spirit, the soul; OTHERWISE, we would ALL be chained to this world when it is destroyed, along with ALL the evil upon it! WHY IS it so difficult to come to terms with, and to eagerly embrace? Alas, it IS due to the LACK of knowledge, understanding, fear of THE LORD, LOVE, AS WELL AS the unwillingness to let the flesh be nailed to the cross, and step into THE SPIRIT!!!
Negativity of EVERY feasible kind IS reigning in this troubled old realm this moment, along with it's effects, which bring NOTHING BUT suffering, sorrow, pain, and death! WHERE IS THE LOGIC in CHOOSING to exist in this, WHEN we COULD exist in PEACE, LOVE, and JOY!??
Meanness like we've rarely known; hostility of the most senseless kind; violence which is bred from little more than unchecked emotion; and on the list of adverse effects of choosing to exist in this, instead of IN *GOD*, go! Stupid, foolish, and self-defeating, despite the idea that in doing so, one is appeasing the self...
Only a few times in history has humanity NEEDED THE LORD as much as now! And yet, WHERE ARE the voices of reason, and those elected to teach, and lead TO THE WAY? WHY have those who SHOULD be awakening the sleeping, the blind, and the deaf, subdued their voices, and shaded their work? IS it because no one WANTS TO SEE, or HEAR? IF so, all the more reason TO do what they HAVE been chosen to do, because souls ARE at risk, and people ARE being chained to the darkness!!!
Ah LORD, we ARE in GREAT NEED OF YOU; PLEASE, HELP us, and motivate those who OUGHT to be bringing YOUR LIGHT into this corrupted, and volatile world!!!
