SUNDAY'S SACRED SCRIPTURES: FAITH & PRAYER...

No one could ever convince me that PRAYER doesn't work, or that through a relationship with THE LORD *GOD*, there is not benefit! Of course the degree of reaping from PRAYER, and our relationship with HIM, DOES depend on our sincerity with HIM, and our strength of belief. THE LORD IS FAITHFUL TO THE FAITHFUL, and while HE works in HIS own time, and FOR HIS WILL, and sometimes none of HIS works are tangible, they ARE being wrought! *GOD* takes care of HIS own, in which case, unwavering, undying FAITH, and RELIANCE ON HIM, are necessary, and increased throughout our days---

Too, our wants and needs are not always aligned to HIS WILL, or HIS PLAN, so there are times when IN LOVE, HE refuses our requests, and petitions, however, this should not influence the honesty of our pleas unto HIM! Like THE FATHER HE IS, HE KNOWS, and HAS KNOWN, what is good for us, and where HE is leading us! MANY give up belief because in their humanness, they doubt when HE denies! This is a matter of under-developed knowledge, and understanding, as well as FAITH when we react negatively to HIS decisions...

As I have said multiple times, HE is NOT a genie, a magician, nor an enabler; HE IS THE LORD *GOD* WHOM HAS CREATED the HEAVENS, and the Earth, all in between, and all which exists therein; therefore, there is NO room to doubt, to pout, or to fall away when HE DOES what HE KNOWS is best. It IS obvious that we are unable to do much on our own, yet, fits are thrown all the time as many expect unreasonably, and foolishly...

*GOD'S* ideals, and ways ARE simple, and basic! HE HAS, and DOES PROVIDE, yet, it doesn't often appease the flesh, because HIS people are NOT flesh, but spirit; hence, confusion, delusion, and disappointment IF knowledge, and understanding are lacking...

In many times throughout history, people have abandoned FAITH because the world has convinced them that THE LORD is afar, is NOT listening, and is NOT working on our behalf, but right now, there is great dissatisfaction with PRAYER, and belief, as people have been listening to the world instead of HIM; this world which IS filled with inequity, falsehoods, and distractions intended for this very purpose, to remove us FROM FAITH, and RELIANCE ON HIM...

I won't back down! No matter what the naysayers, or adversaries say, or do, I WON'T back down; I WILL believe, I WILL PRAISE, I WILL WORSHIP, I WILL REJOICE, I WILL PRAY, I WILL stand strong IN THE LORD *GOD*, and I WILL receive! REALIZE, what you GIVE, you get, and more, good or not! If your belief is little, what can you reasonably expect???

THE LORD'S PROMISES, HIS BLESSINGS and HIS curses, ARE forevermore, and it IS within us TO invoke, or provoke; it IS within us to receive, or not...

Ah, the POWER OF PRAYER exists in FAITH, and FAITHFULNESS...

ISAIAH 46: 4...
Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will bear you! I have done it, and I will carry you; And I will bear you and I will deliver you.

Those things from which ungodly men expect safety and happiness, will be found unable to save them from death and hell. The true God will never fail his worshipers. The history of the life of every believer is a kind of abstract of the history of Israel. Our spiritual life is upheld by his grace, as constantly as our natural life by his providence. And God will never leave them. The Author will be the Finisher of their well-being, when, by decays, they need help as much as in infancy. This promise to Israel, enfeebled and grown old as a nation, is applicable to every aged follower of Christ. When compassed about with infirmities, and perhaps those around begin to grow weary of you, yet I am He that I have promised to be, He that you would have me to be. I will bear you up; carry you on in your way, and carry you home at last. If we learn to trust in and love him, we need not be anxious about our remaining days or years; he will still provide for us and watch over us, both as the creatures of his power, and as new-created by his Spirit.

PSALM 48: 14...
For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even to death.

We have here the improvement which the people of God are to make of his glorious and gracious appearances for them. Let our faith in the word of God be hereby confirmed. Let our hope of the stability of the church be encouraged. Let our minds be filled with good thoughts of God. All the streams of mercy that flow down to us, must be traced to the fountain of His loving-kindness. Let us give to God the glory of the great things he has done for us. Let all the members of the church take comfort from what the Lord does for his church. Let us observe the beauty, strength, and safety of the church. Consider its strength; see it founded on Christ the Rock, fortified by the Divine power, guarded by Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps. See what precious ordinances are its palaces, what precious promises are its bulwarks, that you may be encouraged to join yourselves to it: and tell this to others. This God, who has now done such great things for us, is unchangeable in his love to us, and his care for us. If he is our God, he will lead and keep us even to the last. He will so guide us, as to set us above the reach of death, so that it shall not do us any real hurt. He will lead us to a life in which there shall be no more death.
