SUNDAY'S SACRED SCRIPTURES: THE TRUTH OF THE HEART SPEAKS CLEARLY...

Sin is an indicator of the heart, and so are words, or ways of speaking. Sometimes, we speak without thinking, which is one reason I PRAY daily that THE LORD will help to use my mind before my mouth---

Emotions, and other stimuli contribute to our responses, or our action words/wording! Like when I am nervous, or upset, I might say things I would not ordinarily, and so, I HAVE need to understand HOW to control myself BEFORE I utter things which might, or might not be corrected, or understood in context. Thus, I TRULY PRAY for the guidance to use my mind PRIOR to what might come of my mouth, as I AM working to be, not only conscious of my errs, but conscientious in reining them in...

Humanity has always thrown words around; we use them for a great many things; we are accustomed to letting them flow off the tongue. They ARE used for gain, for access, for manipulation, for persuasion, and on it goes; more than not, without consideration of their power, or their ability to expose the reality of the deepest being...

A great number of people even use their words to stoke THE LORD *GOD*, as if! Unto HIM they lift their speeches, yet their existence never reiterates their words! This is also true human to human...

MATTHEW 15: 10-20...
10+++After Jesus called the crowd to Him, He said to them, “Hear and understand.
11+++“It is not what enters into the mouth that defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this defiles the man.”
12+++Then the disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this statement?”
13+++But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father did not plant shall be uprooted.
14+++“Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.”
15+++Peter said to Him, “Explain the parable to us.”
16+++Jesus said, “Are you still lacking in understanding also?
17+++“Do you not understand that everything that goes into the mouth passes into the stomach, and is eliminated?
18+++“But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man.
19+++“For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, slanders.
20+++“These are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile the man.”

Christ shows that the defilement they ought to fear, was not from what entered their mouths as food, but from what came out of their mouths, which showed the wickedness of their hearts. Nothing will last in the soul but the regenerating graces of the Holy Spirit; and nothing should be admitted into the church but what is from above; therefore, whoever is offended by a plain, seasonable declaration of the truth, we should not be troubled at it.

The disciples ask to be better taught as to this matter. Where a weak head doubts concerning any word of Christ, an upright heart and a willing mind seek for instruction. It is the heart that is desperately wicked, Jer 17:9, for there is no sin in word or deed, which was not first in the heart. They all come out of the man, and are fruits of that wickedness which is in the heart, and is wrought there. When Christ teaches, he will show men the deceitfulness and wickedness of their own hearts; he will teach them to humble themselves, and to seek to be cleansed in the Fountain opened for sin and uncleanness.

Hard to acknowledge, and even more difficult to embrace and utilize, though we ought to! Because of our worldly upbringing, and the ways of the world, we are often, confused by the teachings of THE LORD; I mean, they make sense, but to apply them, we are left struggling, tripping, and stumbling: but that's alright, THAT we ARE attempting to exist in them WHILE asking for DIVINE assistance, then we KNOW we ARE being led by THE SPIRIT! We WON'T be perfect, it IS a PROCESS to which we enjoin, and contribute to, despite the carnal instincts, which ARE a bit more difficult to shake than we even know; such is the product of the world which we were reared in...

Our objective is to think, speak, act, and react as citizens of HEAVEN, NOT as the world, which IS absolutely contrary to how we are used to doing things! We MUST REFLECT THE LORD *GOD*; IT IS OUR TRUTH, and HIS GLORY; this means from within, to without; the entire being FUNCTIONING IN HIS WILL, and WAYS!!!

There are at least 100 BIBLE verses concerning the power of words, which spans into our responsibilities AS Children of *GOD* in taming the tongue, USING discretion, WISDOM, and self-control, and so forth! Ah, SELF-CONTROL covers so much of our duties to THE WAY, but we ever manage to use it as we see fit; in other words, we pick and choose WHEN to employ it...

Lack of words can be the truth of our hearts as well; like when we are stubbornly refusing to address someone, snubbing them, or ignoring what might lead to an unwanted confrontation, or refusal of explanation...

We LEARN the RIGHTEOUS WAY FROM CHRIST JESUS, and AIM to FOLLOW HIS PERFECT example! We WILL err, we WILL trip, stumble, and fall, but we KEEP learning, embracing, and utilizing HIS instructions, AS we free ourselves more, more and more from the backward ways of the world...

MATTHEW 12: 36-37...
36+++“But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. 
37+++“For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Men's language discovers what country they are of, likewise what manner of spirit they are of. The heart is the fountain, words are the streams. A troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring, must send forth muddy and unpleasant streams. 

Nothing but the salt of grace, cast into the spring, will heal the waters, season the speech, and purify the corrupt communication. An evil man has an evil treasure in his heart, and out of it brings forth evil things. Lusts and corruptions, dwelling and reigning in the heart, are an evil treasure, out of which the sinner brings forth bad words and actions, to dishonour God, and hurt others. Let us keep constant watch over ourselves, that we may speak words agreeable to the Christian character.

May we take to heart, and heed EVERY word THE LORD *GOD* HAS set before us, for from them we shall be anchored TO HIM, then secure throughout this journey, AND then we will HONOUR HIM which is the best WORSHIP there is...
