SUNDAY'S SACRED SCRIPTURES: THE WOES OF HYPOCRISY...

Hypocrisy IS a bad, bad seed which IS extensive throughout societies, and individuals. From this useless, inferior seed comes the urge to judge, condemn, and to demean others, all the while conveniently forgetting our own faults, flaws, and issues, which OFTEN, are similar to the ones we are treating wrongly! From this ugly seed, which grows thorns, and briars, as opposed to healthy products, arises MUCH of the arrogance, hostility, and harmful inclinations that influence people to act so beneath the truth of their innate goodness---

There ISN'T a person on this planet who has NEVER had a moment, or more, of hypocrisy! Even the most fair, balanced, and considerate HAVE had times when they just dip into the existing pot of venom called hypocrisy! WHY? I am not sure, but we can assume that it dates back to the affliction brought on by the evil enemy! It shouldn't matter why, or when, what IS imperative is that we RECOGNIZE this awful seed, and rid of it! NOT easy to do, but the more we know, the better we are enabled...

When we are in a situation where we almost instantly, step into the mentality of hypocrisy, it helps to recall our own shortcomings, and to admit that we have work to do within! For some strange reason, we DO ignore, or forget that we have much improvement to be done! AND, we DO OFTEN sidestep the FACT that some of the people we assess in frustration, anger, or emotionalism, ARE quite LIKE us; therefore, we ARE acting, and reacting unfairly, and until we reckon our own problems, we have NO business gauging theirs...

NONE, NOT ONE is perfect, and ONLY THROUGH THE LORD *GOD* CAN we be MADE perfect, which IS a PROCESS, involving time, AND HONESTY, thus, WHO ARE ANY of us to berate another?!!

Too, it IS common fact that those we cry loudest about, ARE more like us than we care to admit, but IF we took a good, long look within, we have no choice but to! We ARE peeved by the reflection of ourselves in others, EVEN when the knowledge of it being so, is sub-conscious...

There are 2 main areas of hypocrisy; that of proclaiming of belief in something, then acting in contrast TO that belief, and then, that of scorning others when we are flawed as well! THE BIBLE holds over 100 references to hypocrisy, and we KNOW that CHRIST JESUS spoke to the hypocrites during HIS Ministry, OFTEN, so we SEE that it HAS been a prevalent issue since the beginning, and one which IS SO DEEPLY embedded that FEW can acknowledge it's existence within, let alone admit they too, are guilty of it...

PART of the solution IS to tame the tongue, as well as mastering SELF-CONTROL! We ARE PRONE to speaking before we think; we REACT BEFORE processing, as our EMOTIONS lead the brain instead of the brain controlling emotions! We HAVE NEED to KNOW OURSELVES THOROUGHLY, THAT we MIGHT recall our own errs, flaws, problems, behaviours, and so forth, BECAUSE in doing so, we WON'T be so quick to speak, or act against another!!!

LEARNING IS KEY, as IS PRAYING FOR HIS help in such matters; add to this FORGIVENESS, because IF we DON'T forgive others, we won't be either! *GOD* FORGIVES us IN our flawed state, BUT we RARELY, forgive others in theirs! SEE HOW this works???

I caught myself in hypocrisy recently, and I almost fell into it, however, like I said, I caught myself, because I KNOW myself, and the thing that tripped me, I HAVE been guilty of before, hence, WHO AM I to place it, or them lower than myself?! The issue itself has been festering for a while, and I am partly, resentful of it's presence for many reasons, but to step off the HIGH ROAD to become one with it IS foolish, and will produce NOTHING worthy, so, I HAVE to deal with it in a more aligned, and selfless way!!!

Also, from hypocrisy is borne gossip, slander, and libel, which ARE terrible, damaging behaviours, and SHOULD be as removed from EACH of us, as is feasible! IN these behaviours we SEE the evil one at work, as it begins as a sort of itch in the emotions, and grows into a rash! WE bite into the tendency TOO readily, AND VOID OF THOUGHT as we ARE enticed into doing so, then BAM!, we have acted, or reacted wrongly!!!

Today, hypocrisy IS center stage throughout the world! EVERYONE IS SO SUPERIOR to everyone else; at least they are convinced! This probably happened due to the entitlement mentality, and age old handing down of twisted ideals, and ideologies! We are NOT entirely to blame for this trend, YET we CAN nip it in the bud, oh yes, we CAN!!!

ROMANS 2: 1-3...
1+++Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. 
2+++And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things. 
3+++But do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God?

The Jews thought themselves a holy people, entitled to their privileges by right, while they were unthankful, rebellious, and unrighteous. But all who act thus, of every nation, age, and description, must be reminded that the judgment of God will be according to their real character.  

The case is so plain, that we may appeal to the sinner's own thoughts. In every wilful sin, there is contempt of the goodness of God. And though the branches of man's disobedience are very various, all spring from the same root. 

But in true repentance, there must be hatred of former sinfulness, from a change wrought in the state of the mind, which disposes it to choose the good and to refuse the evil. It shows also a sense of inward wretchedness. Such is the great change wrought in repentance, it is conversion, and is needed by every human being.  

The ruin of sinners is their walking after a hard and impenitent heart. Their sinful doings are expressed by the strong words, treasuring up wrath. In the description of the just man, notice the full demand of the law. It demands that the motives shall be pure, and rejects all actions from earthly ambition or ends. In the description of the unrighteous, contention is held forth as the principle of all evil. The human will is in a state of enmity against God. Even Gentiles, who had not the written law, had that within, which directed them what to do by the light of nature.  

Conscience is a witness, and first or last will bear witness. As they nature. Conscience is a witness, and first or last will bear witness. As they kept or broke these natural laws and dictates, their consciences either acquitted or condemned them. Nothing speaks more terror to sinners, and more comfort to saints, than that Christ shall be the Judge. Secret services shall be rewarded, secret sins shall be then punished, and brought to light.

MATTHEW 12: 36-37...
36+++But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. 
37+++For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Men's language discovers what country they are of, likewise what manner of spirit they are of. The heart is the fountain, words are the streams. A troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring, must send forth muddy and unpleasant streams. Nothing but the salt of grace, cast into the spring, will heal the waters, season the speech, and purify the corrupt communication. An evil man has an evil treasure in his heart, and out of it brings forth evil things. Lusts and corruptions, dwelling and reigning in the heart, are an evil treasure, out of which the sinner brings forth bad words and actions, to dishonour God, and hurt others. Let us keep constant watch over ourselves, that we may speak words agreeable to the Christian character.


Oh yah, we have NEED TO PRAY, and TO THINK BEFORE we enter into the vortex of hypocrisy, for it IS a nasty, vile chamber of corruption, and corrupted deeds! There is NO good to be found in it, and NOTHING beneficial comes by way of it!!!

We have to CONSIDER WHAT KIND OF WORLD WE REALLY WANT TO EXIST IN, THEN, CONTRIBUTE TO THAT END!!!
