Of course the ultimate reason is that *GOD* IS SOLE RULER, and JUDGE, and then, because we ALL have errs, and sins, many of which are the same for most people, it is hypocritical to judge, and is ludicrous, BECAUSE NO ONE is without err/sin, AND most of them are common to this plane, and to the human condition!!!
ALL through history, people have IMAGINED themselves to be above others, or HOLIER, so they judge, and condemn, all the while thinking, saying, and doing pretty much the same as everyone else, SO, it is foolish TO give ourselves more worth than others, or to boast of our own goodness, as there just isn't enough difference to do so! THEN, there are those who THINK because of who they are, they can err/sin, and escape *GOD'S* judgement, while everyone else will face it!!!
At best, when we notice others errs/sins, we should consider our own; there is a perfect opportunity to acknowledge ours, and learn from those whose we might judge, realizing that we, also, think, or do the same; maybe in a varied context, but not enough to make any real difference between theirs, and ours! Our journey on this planet is one of learning, of growth, of development, NOT according to the flesh, instead that of the spirit, according to the WILL OF *GOD*...
We KNOW the deal; *GOD* will reward those who by perseverance in good works, seek glory, honour, and immortality, while HIS anger, and wrath will be unleashed upon those with selfish ambition, who do not face the TRUTH, who instead, follow unrighteousness; HE has been extremely clear in HIS NATURE, and HIS offering of LIFE, or not! There is much to grasp as we study, examine ourselves, grow, and develop, which cannot be done on our own, but which exists by way of instruction FOR our sake! We should NEVER imagine knowing it all, or enough, as the process from earthy beings to spiritual ones does involve time, diligence, deliberation, and as much knowledge as we can devour, as the dangers ARE real, and they DO increase as the world becomes more evil, and hostile! EVERY instruction has tiers, and layers of knowledge, and understanding TO assist us, and to render us regenerated that we endure unto the end...
There is GREAT trouble in aligning to "Do not judge so that you will not be judged (MATTHEW 7: 1); it IS a mighty struggle, yet, it ISN'T one that we can't overcome, otherwise, *GOD* would not expect us to work through such! Discernment is a far cry from judging; discernment exists that we make RIGHT choices, for our safety, and so on! IF we can simply, admit that the flaws, errs/sins, and shortcomings of other people ARE also, our own, we would find compassion, and fairness enough to resist in judging, and condemning! IF we could TRULY LEARN that *GOD* IS the SOLE JUDGE, and ALLOW HIM HIS RIGHT to judge, the world would begin to be a better place, because HONESTLY, we spend, and waste a LOT of time evaluating OTHER people's faults, BEFORE working on our own; and once again, which ARE more common than not! Judging and condemning CAUSES more problems in this world than many other things, AND lessens the opportunity for TRUE commUNITY, which IS what THE CHURCH is! Ah, let us ever strive to improve, even if we still fall short, for that IS the point; that we SEE, ACKNOWLEDGE, LEARN, EMBRACE, and UTILIZE that which IS OF *GOD*, and *GOD*LINESS!!!
1+++Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
2+++And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things.
3+++But do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God?
4+++Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
5+++But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
6+++who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS:
7+++to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life;
8+++but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.
9+++There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek,
10+++but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.
11+++For there is no partiality with God.
The Jews thought themselves a holy people, entitled to their privileges by right, while they were unthankful, rebellious, and unrighteous. But all who act thus, of every nation, age, and description, must be reminded that the judgment of God will be according to their real character. The case is so plain, that we may appeal to the sinner's own thoughts. In every wilful sin, there is contempt of the goodness of God. And though the branches of man's disobedience are very various, all spring from the same root.
But in true repentance, there must be hatred of former sinfulness, from a change wrought in the state of the mind, which disposes it to choose the good and to refuse the evil. It shows also a sense of inward wretchedness. Such is the great change wrought in repentance, it is conversion, and is needed by every human being.
The ruin of sinners is their walking after a hard and impenitent heart. Their sinful doings are expressed by the strong words, "treasuring up wrath." In the description of the just man, notice the full demand of the law. It demands that the motives shall be pure, and rejects all actions from earthly ambition or ends. In the description of the unrighteous, contention is held forth as the principle of all evil. The human will is in a state of enmity against God. Even Gentiles, who had not the written law, had that within, which directed them what to do by the light of nature.
