(MATTHEW 21: MARK 11: LUKE 19: JOHN 12)
HOSANNA, BLESSED IS HE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD! BLESSED IS HE who came to bring the world unto HIMSELF! BLESSED IS THE NAME OF CHRIST JESUS, our LORD *GOD* and SAVIOUR!!!
As our LORD came upon Jerusalem, HE sent two of HIS Disciples to the edge of town, where there was a donkey colt tied up, and told them to tell the owner that HE was in need of it, which they then brought to HIM. Their coats/cloaks were placed upon the donkey, and many of the people who had been following HIM since HE brought Lazarus back to life from the tomb, and they, laid their coats/cloaks, as well as palm branches on the road as HE rode into Jerusalem; all the while shouting, "Hosanna, blessed is HE who comes in the name of THE LORD". All the city was stirred, and they asked, "Who is this"?, to which the crowds answered, "This is the prophet JESUS, from Nazareth in Galilee"!!!
It is interesting to note that many believed that prophecy had been fulfilled in CHRIST JESUS, yet, there was great resistance at the same time, because HE had not come in the pomp which the ancients would have imagined HIM to, and because they knew where HE was born, and that HE was the Son of a carpenter, all which caused doubt, and division among them. In fact, even after CHRIST JESUS had performed so many miracles, wonders, and signs in their presence, a great many did not believe, and some of those who had, eventually, even quickly, no longer did, partly because HE told them that HE was to be lifted up, confusing them, as they had been taught that when HE came, HE would remain forever, and it made no sense to them that HE would die, and be raised, as well as, the fulfillment of the prophecy that their eyes would not see, and their ears would not hear...
I tell you what, PURE BELIEF is difficult for humans to hold onto, and to stand in, as it is constantly, and continually challenged, and contrasted by what we THINK we know, and human precepts, and not only that, some people though they do believe, because they enjoy human praise more than praise from *GOD*, keep it to themselves, and worship in private, as if that were TRUE WORSHIP...
OUR LORD had a long, rough journey from the time HE began Ministering to the time of HIS TRIUMPHAL entry into Jerusalem! HE came to SAVE the lost, and now, this place, this time was where this would happen!
Even as the coatless multitudes waved the palm branches and shouted for joy, they missed the true reason for Jesus’ presence. They could neither see nor understand the cross. That’s why, “as [Jesus] approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, ‘If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies . . . will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you” (Luke 19:41–47). It is a tragic thing to see the Savior but not recognize Him for who He is. The crowds who were crying out “Hosanna!” on Palm Sunday were crying out “Crucify Him!” later that week (Matthew 27:22–23).
Even today, the same faltering belief, and missing of the point is to be found, despite the centuries, and centuries of *GOD'S* WORD, and CHRIST JESUS' great Sacrifice binding us into THE TRUTH...
FAITH is easy to come by, but NOT so easy to exist in, and so, we MUST examine ourselves, and determine if we ARE TRUE believers, TRUE FOLLOWERS...
Let's look at this from 2 CORINTHIANS 13...
Though it is God's gracious method to bear long with sinners, yet he will not bear always; at length he will come, and will not spare those who remain obstinate and impenitent. Christ at his crucifixion, appeared as only a weak and helpless man, but his resurrection and life showed his Divine power. So the apostles, how mean and contemptible soever they appeared to the world, yet, as instruments, they manifested the power of God. Let them prove their tempers, conduct, and experience, as gold is assayed or proved by the touchstone. If they could prove themselves not to be reprobates, not to be rejected of Christ, he trusted they would know that he was not a reprobate, not disowned by Christ. They ought to know if Christ Jesus was in them, by the influences, graces, and indwelling of his Spirit, by his kingdom set up in their hearts. Let us question our own souls; either we are true Christians, or we are deceivers. Unless Christ be in us by his Spirit, and power of his love, our faith is dead, and we are yet disapproved by our Judge.
Today begins the beautiful, ye somber celebration of CHRIST JESUS' entry into Jerusalem, and the final week when HE taught, encouraged, left crucial instruction, and even struggled with what HE was facing; HE cried, HE PRAYED; HE suffered within, and without! Let us, from the depths of our hearts, step INTO that time, and experience IN THE SPIRIT, the AWESOME, and INFINITE SPAN OF HIS GLORIOUS SACRIFICE for us, THAT we might go forward MORE convinced, and FAR MORE convicted OF the WONDROUS LOVE which inspired, and fulfilled HIS GIFT of LIFE! HOSANNA TO THE LORD *GOD*, KING OF KINGS FOREVERMORE!!!

We exist for HIS PRAISE! Let us PRAISE THE KING, THE LORD *GOD* ALMIGHTY, and WORSHIP HIM with ALL our LOVE, with ALL our hearts, with ALL our minds, and with ALL our souls, now, and as we REMAIN IN HIM upon THE PATH TO THE KINGDOM! Let us give THANKS, let us REJOICE, let us HONOUR HIM IN SPIRIT, and TRUTH, and let us SHINE of HIM AS we DO good, and PRAY for others! HALLELUJAH, HOSANNA, BLESSED IS THE LORD *GOD*!!!
Our KING is NOT a KING of pomp,
Instead, HE IS THE KING who came to prompt
HIS people to the TRUTH of their soul,
To LEAD them home, and to make them whole,
Because the world in which they, for but a time, exist
Wrongly convinces them that there is no more than this;
And for the body, this might be,
Though there is FAR more than what we see,
IN HIS IMAGE HE CREATED us, meaning the spirit IS our reality...lw'17
