In Lebanon, last week, a Man threw himself upon the 2nd suicide bomber, knowing the 1st had harmed many, and left 45 dead, as he was out walking through the neighborhood with his young Daughter (which she witnessed, poor baby), after seeing the bomber, and noting that hundreds of people in very close proximity were in grave danger; he gave his life in the heart of LOVE, he lay down his own life for others!!!
“There are many, many families, hundreds probably, who owe their completeness to his sacrifice,” Elie Fares, a blogger and physician in Beirut, told Public Radio International in an interview last week. “In a way, Adel Termos broke human nature of self-preservation. His heroism transcended his own life to save others,” Fares told The Washington Post in an e-mail Monday. “To make that kind of decision in a split second, to decide that you’d rather save hundreds than to go back home to your family, to decide that the collective lives of those around you are more important than your own is something that I think no one will ever understand.”
A letter addressed to Islamic State terrorists by a Frenchman who lost his wife in last Friday’s terrorist attacks has gone viral.
The rousing, heartfelt address by a Frenchman named Antoine Leiris, whose wife, Hélène Muyal, was killed in the attack on the Bataclan theatre, tells the terrorists that they are “dead souls,” according to The Christian Post.
"On Friday evening you stole the life of an exceptional person, the love of my life, the mother of my son, but you will not have my hatred,” Leiris’ letter begins.
"I don't know who you are and I don't want to know, you are dead souls. If this God for whom you kill blindly made us in his image, every bullet in the body of my wife is a wound in his heart," Leiris, who works as a journalist at radio network France Bleu, continues in the letter.
Leiris vowed that he would not give the terrorists the satisfaction of making him or his 17-month-old son hate them.
"So no, I will not give you the satisfaction of hating you. You want it, but to respond to hatred with anger would be to give in to the same ignorance that made you what you are."
"You would like me to be scared, for me to look at my fellow citizens with a suspicious eye, for me to sacrifice my liberty for my security. You have lost,” said Leiris.
"Of course I am devastated with grief, I grant you this small victory, but it will be short-lived. I know she will be with us every day and we will find each other in Heaven with free souls which you will never have,” the letter, which has been shared over 200,000 times, closes.
Yesterday in Tel Aviv, and West Bank, Israel, during attacks which left 5 dead, a civilian hit one of the perpetrators over the head with a pipe, and subdued him until the Police arrived...
And of course, there were all those people who gave of their time, trying to save people, nurse people, give people a place to stay, and countless other acts of LOVE which go under radar, but ARE noticed, appreciated, and crucial!!!
THANKS BE TO *GOD*, I KNOW there IS ALWAYS BEAUTY within reach, no matter how ugly the moment might be, and TOO, I think that more, and more decent, LOVING people ARE going to react, because already, people are tired, and disgusted by events which have been accelerating in recent years, and weeks! I believe also, with all my heart, that the hand of *GOD* MOVES people in dire straits, just like that! These kind of stories, and people, are like those single flowers which bloom in an arid, cracked desert floor, and SO welcomed their beauty is, as it REMINDS us to ALWAYS notice, and HOLD ONTO what is right, just, and good! PRAISE THE LORD, REMAIN IN LOVE, and PRAY ALWAYS!!!
