Bravo to all the Nations, and individuals who are working diligently to aid others! You are an inspiration! May *GOD* BE with you, guide you, and BLESS you...
GALATIANS 6: 9-10...
9+++Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
10+++So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people,
Many excuse themselves from the work of religion, though they may make a show, and profess it. They may impose upon others, yet they deceive themselves if they think to impose upon God, who knows their hearts as well as actions; and as he cannot be deceived, so he will not be mocked.
Our present time is seed time; in the other world we shall reap as we sow now. As there are two sorts of sowing, one to the flesh, and the other to the Spirit, so will the reckoning be hereafter. Those who live a carnal, sensual life, must expect no other fruit from such a course than misery and ruin. But those who, under the guidance and influences of the Holy Spirit, live a life of faith in Christ, and abound in Christian graces, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
We are all very apt to tire in duty, particularly in doing good. This we should carefully watch and guard against. Only to perseverance in well-doing is the reward promised. Here is an exhortation to all to do good in their places. We should take care to do good in our life-time, and make this the business of our lives. Especially when fresh occasions offer, and as far as our power reaches.
There are many interesting objections to aiding others; but there is NOT one excuse which will fly with *GOD*!!!
WE are NOT able to determine whom is worthy, and whom is not; often our perception of people is WAY off, and so, in *GOD'S* GENIUS WISDOM, we learn NOT to be partial, or judge others, or to decide if someone needs more than someone else! IN these times, there ARE a LOT of people in need, people displaced, and well, there are simply, MANY people suffering, whom NEED all the help they can get, SO, we MUST be careful to REMAIN IN THE LORD as we are faced with all sorts of challenges...
Let us TRY to understand a few things, for the sake of being more knowledgeable...
WHEN we object to helping others, especially because of the potential dangers involved, is not our FAITH unaligned? IF we object to aiding others because it might cause us to suffer in the short, or long run, isn't LOVE lacking in our reasoning, and aren't we reacting in the flesh? For every objection, there is an answer, especially for the Christian...
I have had my struggles with certain areas of such matters too, for which I have had to repent, and ask THE LORD to guide me through, given the perils of these uncertain times, but I tell you what, TRUTH says that IF my FAITH is rightly aligned, I WILL TRUST HIM, no matter what lies ahead, and I WILL LOVE as HE HAS, and has taught me to, THAT human suffering is lessened, even in the slightest! IF my FAITH is SOLID, then I should NOT fear what might come, and in LOVE, I will do what I can, as often as is necessary...
People are saying all across the board that we shouldn't aid those who are potential enemies, and while there is a thin thread of reasoning in such mentality, it is NOT aligned reasoning! Maybe *GOD* sends certain people to particular places for HIS OWN purposes, so, WHO are we to go against HIM, or what HE HAS prescribed? We just DON'T know all the inner workings of ANY thing, and so, as HIS Children, we should obey, and comply!!!
ROMANS 12: 17-21...
17+++Never pay back evil for evil to anyone. Respect what is right in the sight of all men.
18+++If possible, so far as it depends on you, be at peace with all men.
19+++Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord.
20+++“BUT IF YOUR ENEMY IS HUNGRY, FEED HIM, AND IF HE IS THIRSTY, GIVE HIM A DRINK; FOR IN SO DOING YOU WILL HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD.”
21+++Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Since men became enemies to God, they have been very ready to be enemies one to another. And those that embrace religion, must expect to meet with enemies in a world whose smiles seldom agree with Christ's. Recompense to no man evil for evil. That is a brutish recompense, befitting only animals, which are not conscious of any being above them, or of any existence hereafter.
And not only do, but study and take care to do, that which is amiable and creditable, and recommends religion to all with whom you converse. Study the things that make for peace; if it be possible, without offending God and wounding conscience.
Avenge not yourselves. This is a hard lesson to corrupt nature, therefore a remedy against it is added. Give place unto wrath. When a man's passion is up, and the stream is strong, let it pass off; lest it be made to rage the more against us.
The line of our duty is clearly marked out, and if our enemies are not melted by persevering kindness, we are not to seek vengeance; they will be consumed by the fiery wrath of that God to whom vengeance belongeth.
The last verse suggests what is not easily understood by the world; that in all strife and contention, those that revenge are conquered, and those that forgive are conquerors. Be not overcome of evil. Learn to defeat ill designs against you, either to change them, or to preserve your own peace. He that has this rule over his spirit, is better than the mighty. God's children may be asked whether it is not more sweet unto them than all earthly good, that God so enables them by his Spirit, thus to feel and act.
The precept to love even our enemies is an Old Testament commandment. Our Saviour has shown his own great example in loving us when we were enemies.
The Jewish teachers by neighbour understood only those who were of their own country, nation, and religion, whom they were pleased to look upon as their friends. The Lord Jesus teaches that we must do all the real kindness we can to all, especially to their souls. We must pray for them. While many will render good for good, we must render good for evil; and this will speak a nobler principle than most men act by. Others salute their brethren, and embrace those of their own party, and way, and opinion, but we must not so confine our respect.
It is the duty of Christians to desire, and aim at, and press towards perfection in grace and holiness. And therein we must study to conform ourselves to the example of our heavenly Father, 1Pe 1:15,16. Surely more is to be expected from the followers of Christ than from others; surely more will be found in them than in others. Let us beg of God to enable us to prove ourselves his children.
There IS quite a bit of instruction in our role as Christians in the world, and what *GOD* expects from us, such as to act in LOVE, GRACE, and MERCY, just as HE HAS done with us! In doing so, we are SHINING of HIS GLORY, and promoting HIS WILL, which is right, just, and good, AND we are, as CHRIST did, setting an example forth for others!!!
It IS difficult to KEEP in the SENSE of what HE expects of HIS people, and so, we must STUDY that the sense sears into our hearts, consciences, thus our actions, and reactions, allowing us to always be sharing, and spreading HIM, and HIS LOVE, FOR HIS GLORY, and the greater good of all!!!
Evil is increasing in the world; many are opting to flee it as they can, often with no resources, no where to go, and so forth, and we MUST let *GOD'S* LIGHT be evident through us for such peoples to notice, and head towards; we never know how HE is working through the events of the day, so let us CHOOSE to stand in HONOUR of HIM as we can; there ARE miracles abounding, and BLESSINGS amassing!!!
ALL FOR HIS GLORY, AMEN!!!
