During this week, long ago, CHRIST JESUS would come to the TEMPLE area, and teach, then every evening HE would return to Bethany, and the Mount of Olives. HIS messages became more intense, and HE was constantly challenged by those who sought HIS life: to these HE spoke clearly, and seriously, in which case they increased their efforts to take HIM into custody...
Yes, our LORD'S time here was filled by the facts of the worlds woes, effects, and hell bent ways, however this works for the good of those who seek HIM, and REMAIN IN HIM, as HE, being our mediator, KNOWS EXACTLY, what we have struggled with, and therefore, coupled with HIS PERFECT LOVE, leads, capacitates, and provides for us as we battle what we don't quite understand, or know, the enemy, and it's endless ruses. Let us PRAISE and WORSHIP HIM FOR ALL HE IS, and HAS done, DOES, and WILL do for us! Let us GLORIFY HIS HOLY name in JOYOUS assurance OF HIS PRESENCE! THANK YOU LORD, *GOD* of LOVE, who though we are brought low by the world, RAISES us to our TRUTH!!!
JESUS TAUGHT, through ALL HE endured, THE STRENGTH of the spirit OVER the flesh, and this is SO crucial to our journey through this time, as the flesh, along with the world, is temporal, but the spirit will exist FOREVER, as this IS the TRUTH of our having been! HE SHOWED that no matter how difficult it is to resist the flesh, IF the spirit is rightly aligned, and diligent IN HIM, we ARE able to navigate this realm, WHILE growing, and developing INTO our TRUE natures, which ARE CREATED IN HIS IMAGE! Those who endure to the end WILL share in HIS GLORY, and WILL exist in said GLORY, with ALL it's benevolence, ETERNALLY, AMEN!!!
We only need to look TO HIM for ALL we need in this time! HE'S been there, done that, and KNOWS without doubt, our plight, and LOVES us SO much THAT HE, not only gave HIS life for us, but gave us EVERY advantage OVER what is of this world! We are NOT left on our own, HE IS with us, and DOES SUPPLY unceasingly, ALL we might need to make it home to HIM!!!
I don't know about anyone else, but this season of Easter, really hits home in my soul, and reinforces my LOVE, and BELIEF in THE LORD *GOD*, and HIS WILL TO SAVE HIS own from HIS enemy! I go forth after this season more humbled, reassured, refreshed, and re-equipped to endure, and persevere! I AM SURE OF HIM!!!
As HE says; "For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" MATTHEW 16: 26, which means:
A true disciple of Christ is one that does follow him in duty, and shall follow him to glory. He is one that walks in the same way Christ walked in, is led by his Spirit, and treads in his steps, whithersoever he goes. Let him deny himself. If self-denial be a hard lesson, it is no more than what our Master learned and practiced, to redeem us, and to teach us. Let him take up his cross. The cross is here put for every trouble that befalls us. We are apt to think we could bear another's cross better than our own; but that is best which is appointed us, and we ought to make the best of it. We must not by our rashness and folly pull crosses down upon our own heads, but must take them up when they are in our way. If any man will have the name and credit of a disciple, let him follow Christ in the work and duty of a disciple.
If all worldly things are worthless when compared with the life of the body, how forcible the same argument with respect to the soul and its state of never-ending happiness or misery!
Thousands lose their souls for the most trifling gain, or the most worthless indulgence, nay, often from mere sloth and negligence. Whatever is the object for which men forsake Christ, that is the price at which Satan buys their souls. Yet one soul is worth more than all the world. This is Christ's judgment upon the matter; he knew the price of souls, for he redeemed them; nor would he underrate the world, for he made it. The dying transgressor cannot purchase one hour's respite to seek mercy for his perishing soul. Let us then learn rightly to value our souls, and Christ as the only Saviour of them.
AMEN, I say, AMEN!!!
