Whoa, this speaks loudly, and profoundly! This article ought to be read by everyone, for the sake of oneness IN CHRIST, and for the sake of growth in THE BODY of CHRIST, THE CHURCH!!!
How many times I have to remind someone that those of the Cloth are people too! We all understand that we are to be ABOVE certain issues of the human condition, and LORD KNOWS, a great many of us strive for this on a daily basis! There ARE going to be those that fail, for many reasons, such as they might not be properly instructed, don't apply enough time to pure Devotion, and on it goes, but a great many of us ARE working daily, at improving, resisting, and maintaining the integrity of the Calling...
Interesting; members of Churches try to humanize THE LORD at every opportunity, but turn around and dehumanize their Pastors, and so, there exists a rift of sorts...
Some forget to FOLLOW THEIR MASTER, their example, their TEACHER, and to IMITATE HIM as much as understanding, and capacity allows for! ONLY by FOLLOWING HIM as closely as feasible, can one HOPE to 'get it' right, and to remain effective, although one should KNOW that they can not more than REFLECT HIM, because ONLY HE was human, but was perfect...
NONE of this is about the Pastors, save for their appointment, and/or anointing to guide! It is ALL ABOUT *GOD*, HIS GLORY, and the safety of HIS own!!!
Many Pastors get burned out early in the game, and with Churches the way they are these days, it is understandable, as the role of Pastor involves more responsibilities than necessary, and is led by others who are not always quite aligned, and have agendas not truly related to the Church! On top of this, often, there is insufficient knowledge of the kind of Devotion it takes to 'feed the sheep', then, there is the strange competition to gather the most 'sheep'! Some seek honour in their roles, but ALL HONOUR belongs to *GOD*, and so, they are feeding their egos, not the 'flock'!!!
Personally, I view my role in HIS PLAN simply, as a seed sower, a caretaker, and the rest is up to HIM! I believe that if only ONE person receives HIM through my Stewardship with HIM, it is worthy; of course, I would HOPE for more than one, but to keep it real, especially from my limited role, one awakened being is worth all I have to offer. Too many these days look to 'the sheep' with the wrong intention, and so, they suffer in the process of 'feeding'!!!
IF I CAN'T be myself while 'feeding' the sheep, I am not being 'fed', and so, it is important that I remain myself, void of measure, void of pedestals, void of anything that might interfere in my sole purpose, to reach others, while working through my own Salvation, with fear, and trembling, RELYING ON THE LORD for all I need to accomplish HIS WILL for my role in this work...
HUMILITY REMAINS the platform on which THE CHURCH builds, and should be checked all the time, to KEEP it in perspective! Those who get high on their roles of Ministering to HIS people, are endangering themselves, and setting themselves up for disappointment, and worse. HUMILITY SHOWS us our place IN HIM, and does NOT ascribe to human measure, instead to PLEASING HIM, and FULFILLMENT OF HIS WILL!!!
Anyway, am very excited about this article, thus, I felt it worthy to share: I PRAY all who read it, can gain understanding, and insight from it!!!
