Leaving the sky gray; temperatures are falling, though, he has just begun...
Days are shorter, nights are darker, yet, the stars shine brilliantly, as the atmosphere is cleansed by the cold,
His breath is leaving frost, and iced rains, ah, his entrance into time, is quite bold...
Animals, and birds, forage for food, while bare trees shiver, and the earth tightens up, awaiting it's blanket of snow,
Such is the prelude to the most BLESSED season we know...
Boughs of holly, wreaths, Christmas trees, snow people, brightly coloured lights, lend ambiance to what is otherwise stark,
Warmth is found in hot cocoa, apple cider, eggnog, and sweets such as chocolate peppermint bark...
Bundled up, we head outdoors to share in the mystical wonders of frozen land, and waterways,
Snow mobiles roar, ice skaters skate, snow boarders surf the mounds of whiteness; there is busyness in these days...
Cards are written, carols are sung, presents are wrapped, preparations are made for the coming festivities,
Endless hours are lost, as we are swept up into the Holidays, with anticipation, and anxiety...
How fitting that the celebration of THE GIFT OF LIFE, our CHRIST JESUS, happens in this time,
Filling the dimness, with a miraculous overtones of the sublime...
Though the winds are blowing, chilling to the core, all in their path,
Thanks to *GOD*, there is LIGHT, and well-being in the aftermath!!!
