Kindness is the act or the state of being kind, being marked by good and charitable behavior, pleasant disposition, and concern for others. It is known as a virtue, and recognized as a value in many cultures and religions. Research has shown that acts of kindness does not only benefit receivers of the kind act, but also the giver, as a result of the release of neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of contentment and relaxation when such acts are committed.
I BELIEVE, and live in good manners, politeness, pleasantries, and treating everyone equal! It isn't always easy, but, the soils in which we sow, are not always favourable, 'ya know? How much time does it take to use them in any given situation? How much effort does it take to be polite? I USED to respond with my mouth to rudeness, and other acts against kindness, but, I realized somewhere along the line that I was placing myself at their level, and NOT accomplishing anything by doing so, thus, as difficult as it was, I learned over time, to remain on the HIGH road, and spread kindness, no matter what...
Being kind is more than words, or gestures, it is a state of existing in LOVE, tangible, or not! It is the understanding of the NECESSITY of LOVE OVER all else! It SHOULD be a part of the being, especially the being of the FAITHFUL!!!
In kindness lies all sorts of healthy, and POSITIVE attributes, such as HOPE, helpfulness, encouragement, and on it goes! When we are kind to EVERYONE, we never know the impact that kindness might have on their day, or their life! Sometimes, in this troubled old world, certain people have NEVER experienced random acts of kindness, and when they finally do, it has HEALING powers in their lives...
There are roughly, over 90 verses in THE BIBLE about being kind, it is one of the 7 HOLY, or HEAVENLY VIRTUES, and a VITAL component of LOVE, a fruit of THE HOLY SPIRIT! CHRIST was the embodiment of kindness, good manners, ethics, gentleness, meekness, and all virtuous behaviours! IF we claim oneness with HIM, then we understand that we are to BE like HIM, and so, kindness!!!
We ALL know the sting of unkindness; I am SURE that EVERY person has felt this sting, and so, we CAN nip that stinger, right where it counts, and eradicate it's source, WITH kindness!!!
1 PETER 3: 8-11...
8/ Finally, all of you, be of one mind, sympathetic, loving toward one another, compassionate, humble.
9/ Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult; but, on the contrary, a blessing, because to this you were called, that you might inherit a blessing.
10/ For: "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep the tongue from evil and the lips from speaking deceit,
11/ must turn from evil and do good, seek peace and follow after it.
Virtues must prevail in ALL our interactions in this life! To neglect virtuous behaviour is to live contrary to THE LORD! The criterion of judgment will be the deeds of mercy that have been done for the least of Jesus' brothers (MATTHEW 34-40). See MATTHEW 5: 43-48...
No, it is not easy, in any *GOD* given day, to deal with the uninformed, the obstinate, the defiant, the arrogant, the rude, the aggressive, or the abusive, yet, we are ELEVATED OVER such, and to respond to them in their own ways, is to be bound with them, pulled down, and removed from righteousness, as well as, it gives such power where none belongs!!!
Kindness has the potential to CHANGE people's dispositions, minds, and hearts; is is proven! As with any seed of *GOD*, we plant, and the rest is between HIM, and the soil in which it was planted! We should never expect anything from doing what is right, instead, we should simply, enjoy doing what is right, FOR HIS GLORY, and for the GOOD of ALL!!!
