The ancient people were in WAY better shape than we are today, as they spent their lives walking, and working hard! We walk as exercise, or because we have to at certain times, but other than that, we are either at a desk, in a chair, on a sofa, chillin', or when we are moving, in a vehicle of some sort, at least a great many of us! For quite a while, a few times in my life, I did NOT have a car, and so, everything I had to do, involved LOTS of steps! I was in great shape, and much healthier than I am now, thaz for sure:)))
We are a society of convenience, there is no way to deny it! And, it IS taking it's toll, although, there are other factors at work too, such as micro-engineered wheat, food that has been given hormones, and all sorts of nasty additives, and other such, due to overpopulation, and overly high demand, and so on...
PRAYER is one with caring for the being, because THE LORD IS our sure, and present help, no matter what! In line with this, the mind requires LOTS of conditioning, to reach a point of PEACE, comfort, and ability to always function in healthy, well, and becoming ways; and so it is, with the spirit, and the body...
I believe in treating oneself as special! I learned long ago, to spoil myself in certain ways, to maintain an overall state of comfort, even if the world, at times, tries to take this from me! It is IMPORTANT to get enough rest, and find ways to have, and maintain PEACE! Candlelight, muzik, reading, movies, people watching, meditating, or whatever; the point is to TAKE some time each day for YOU! Even those without much, CAN find ways, each day, to relax, renew, and revitalize the entire being...
It will work this way; one week we will deal with the mind, then next the spirit, then, the body! We ARE the temple of THE LORD, and while this has DIVINE meaning, it DOES apply to our care of it, in Earthly ways, that ARE aligned to HIS WILL, and WAYS!!!
Let us begin with the mind! The mind is full of many thoughts, many ideas, and much chatter that does NOT serve us well, which, in turn, affects our emotional make-up! To condition the mind to a calm, controlled, and optimal state, a walk with *GOD* IS ESSENTIAL, as ONLY with HIM, do we LEARN to eradicate the senselessness that accompanies this life, via the world, it's elemental rulers, principalities, and authorities, which are NOT working for us, instead, against us! When we have knowledge, understanding, and wisdom of THE WAY, the chatter begins to disappear, though not entirely, but it diminishes enough for us to share in the PROMISE OF PEACE...
The mind is almost a landfill of garbage, excess, and that which does NOT serve any real purpose, except to mislead us, confuse us, delude us, and keep us in a state of anxiety, fear, and other negatives! Thus THE LORD IS the answer! In HIS WORD, we LEARN to quiet all sorts of things that rule the mind, mostly what does NOT grant us health, vitality, and well-being!!!
I have written for years about dumping the excess mental garbage acquired in the day, in the evening, as then, it doesn't become baggage to carry around, or have to deal with! This is done in several ways, one of which is, to release all which is not necessary that came with the day, and to forgive! Like, someone treated you badly at work; it is best to come home, vent if you need to, then take this event, and put it in the trash, while forgiving that person, even if it is difficult to do, it works FOR your own good, and makes tomorrow a FRESH day, with a lighter load to begin with! Sort through the day, and relieve yourself of the bunk, then, do something wonderful for yourself, if only for 15 minutes! Count the BLESSINGS in the day, and thank *GOD*, and pray for a better tomorrow, and for those who caused you any negatives...
*GOD* fearing people have an advantage over the world, and it's woes, you have to come to see this for yourself! When we are walking with *GOD*, we are ABOVE all of the world, in more than mentality! We are not better than the world, per se, we are more equipped, via knowledge, understanding, wisdom, and the POWERS OF THE ALMIGHTY LORD! We exist in LOVE, so, we are ENABLED to ward off the attacks of anything away from what is just, right, and good!!!
Freeing the mind of garbage each day, is detrimental to our overall health, and well-being! In recent months, I was badly hurt by someone who has been in my life for 25 or more years, and because they are stubborn, and self-righteous, there is no hope of confronting them, and working it out, so, it ate away at me, until I broke down in Church (privately, of course), praying for them, for resolve, forgiving them before THE LORD, and day by day, taking the mental garbage associated with this, and placing it outside my mind! Sometimes, it is most difficult to get past something, but, IF we pick out the garbage that comes with it, then, treat ourselves to some quality time, it too, passes!!!
On one of my sites, I had an electronic trash can, for the purpose of depositing the day's stresses, and afflictions! I believe in this process, because such remains with us, IF we allow it to!!!
I didn't mean for this post to become so lengthy, so, I will stop here! I wish you health of EVERY kind, and ALL BLESSINGS intended for your life!!! MUCH LOVE! Let us PRAY for ALL we need to ensure a worthy temple, and let us never cease to PRAISE, WORSHIP, and HONOUR THE LORD, our *GOD* for HIS constant PRESENCE in our lives!!!
