Be eager to present yourself as acceptable to God, a workman who causes no disgrace, imparting the word of truth without deviation.
Accepting CHRIST JESUS as THE LORD, and, SAVIOUR, is more than words can convey, though, THE WORD, can lead the way!
Being a Christian is more than a title, it is a lifestyle, PREMISED upon THE WORD, the LIVING WORD, CHRIST, our LORD, FOUNDED on a WILLINGNESS to deny the world, and, FREE the TRUE self, the spirit!
It is a CONSCIOUS, and, CONSCIENTIOUS alignment TO HIM, HIS WILL, HIS WAYS, in humbled obedience, LOVE, reverence, deep regard, while WORKING the spirit to as much perfection as is feasible, FOR, and, TO HIS GLORY!
It is BEING good, and, DOING good, ALWAYS considering HIS WILL, in ANY matter, at ANY time! It is time spent WISELY, in study, that, knowledge, understanding, and, wisdom, ADD TO FAITH, and, FAITHFULNESS!
It is realizing the NEED to SHINE as reflections of HIS perfection, that, more might be LED out of the darkness! It is constant PRAYER, PRAISE, WORSHIP, and, REJOICING for HIS LOVE, GIFT(s), and, PRESENCE in our lives!
It is ACTING in conduct conformed TO HIS WILL! It is being content, grateful, and, confident! It is taking care of others, in charity, mercy, forgiveness, and, BEING the example of all things wholesome, good, right, and, just! It is BEING a BEACON for others to follow!
In this role, there is no room for selfishness, instead, the self IS rewarded in being selfless, now, and, forever! It IS ALL ABOUT LOVE; the LOVE we first, hold for HIM, then, for others, then, thinking, acting, and, reacting IN this LOVE, for ALL to bear witness to! It is about leaving evidence for others to follow! It is more than this, yet, this is the foundation on which we build, being as CHRIST-like, as is feasible, FOR, and, TO HIS GLORY, because HE IS ALL, and, EVERYTHING, and, HE desires HIS Chosen to PROCLAIM HIM to the ends of the Earth, that fewer will perish!
Accepting CHRIST, as our LORD, and, SAVIOUR is to BELIEVE, and, TRUST IN HIM, HIS WILL, HIS WAYS, while, relinquishing the world's holds on us, BY understanding that we have died in HIM, to find LIFE IN HIM! It is a whole NEW standard, one which does NOT come easily to the mortal being, yet, IS IMPERATIVE to LIFE eternal! NOTHING is impossible WITH HIM, therefore, submitting TO HIM, is paramount IN changing the heart, that we are in TRUE allegiance WITH HIM, body, mind, and, spirit!
This means living in morality, ethics, virtue, LOVE, and, all behaviours aligned TO HIS WILL! It means DENYING carnal, egocentric desires, or, deadly sins! HE KNOWS we will have a tough time, living in this world, and, IN HIM, but, our sincere, honest efforts to COMPLY to HIS WILL, coupled with TRUE FAITH, speaks the TRUTH of the heart, to HIM!
It is BEARING worthy fruit, on THE TRUE VINE! It is EVIDENCED, and, VITAL!
Many view being a Christian as some sort of freedom fest, in which, they are allowed to act in their former ways, living in debauchery, lust, greed, and, so forth, while, retaining their promised inheritance! Thus, many Christians are entangled in the world, and, it's holds, yet, believing that they are in righteousness! The same lie that led to the removal of Adam, and, Eve from The Garden! IF one has a clear understanding OF dying to the world, through THE WORD, they will SEE that to continue in CONSCIOUS sin, is totally redundant! When someone KNOWS that what they do is sinful, HOW are they acting IN HIM? HE detests the sins of pride, and, most of the CONSCIOUS sins, derive from pride, as they appeal to the desires of the flesh! Many argue with me, telling me that they CAN have extra-marital affairs, they CAN seek riches, they can be stoned, drunkards, players, or, DO ANYTHING they want, and are still, IN CHRIST! THE WORD HAS set the standards by which we are to live, and, such things are NOT acceptable TO THE LORD, HIS WILL, HIS WAYS! HE says to BE HOLY, because HE IS HOLY, and, while that is a HUGE order to fill for us, it is NOT impossible, and, EFFORT towards perfecting the being, speaks clearly, OF our sincerity! As John The Baptist said, "Repent, for THE KINGDOM of *GOD* is at hand!". Repenting MEANS a change of heart, and, a change of heart, in this context, means a change of lifestyle; a lifestyle REFLECTING HIM, HIS WILL, HIS WAYS! FAITH IS COMPLETED by works: read JAMES 2!!!
Retain FAITH, and, HOPE, YES, but, LOVE IS THE LAW, and so, MUST be perfected, and, fulfilled in order for us to BE as ONE with HIM! JOHN 14: 15... "If you love me, you will keep my commandments!!!
